Thanks Ramdini, all good stuff

Happy New Year Heb You are welcome. I felt we dropped two pints even though it was good performance against a strong side.

That's points - not pints.

Personally I think the threshold for giving red cards has now come down too low. It was a bad tackle and obviously I was screaming for the ref to send him off but I reckon a yellow was OK.

Good report as always Ramdini - thanks

Bogle looks knackered - he's a kid and has played a lot of games at high tempo - needs a rest? I thought Keogh looked good in that right back slot towards the end of the game......!!

Derby are still failing to get that 'final ball'. I enjoy watching them - honest! But for just some old, cynical, slow pro to take the team by the scruff of the neck and control the game........

I appreciate your view Vidal. I have no doubt it was a wishful thought on my part, But he did go for the man as well as the ball.

And I might add, it was quite likely a planned assault on somebody who had been a handful all match for the Boro defence. I can imagine the cynical discussion between manager and players at half time.

Many have said it's time for Bogle to have a bit of a rest. For a kid he has done very well and I like his confidence when attacking even if he frequently runs into dead ends. Maybe Wisdom should go to right back for now and Lowe to left back. It was a soft goal to give away and Lampard was clearly cheesed off because he said that on the Monday the team had been specifically working on not allowing the opposition to be able to work the ball easily from a throw-in in that position! On the highlights I saw Josefzoon was clearly annoyed with Bogle for letting Friend cross the ball unchallenged. These are fine details that make a big difference to the outcome, closing down space quickly. Bogle will learn.

It seems to be a common view. It's a toss up whether a tired Bogle is better than Malone to allow Wisdom to move back. I think Left Back is a more difficult position to fill. One problem is - our defence often seems to be physically so much smaller than our opponents and Bogle is quite short. Fossie is taller - when is he due back again. I think it's next season.

I thought someone was missing, thank goodness 666 has returned from his Caribbean cruise.

Thank you Ramdini for your usual excellent report. I agree with you that Saville should have been sent off, Pulis said he wasn't that sort of player. Ha ha his players targeted Wilson and Marriott, just look at Marriott's shirt, it was filthy.

Wisdom did really well at left back and got some nice crosses in, unlike another winger who never does. He is strong and tall which we need.

I thought Dean Ashton's criticism of Keogh was cretinous, Keogh has been carrying the back 4 for some time, Bogle and Tomori are young players and God knows how many different left backs we've had to use. I think he does well and hated it when he made 1 mistake and the roar went up, which it didn't do when any other player messes up.

I was happy with a draw, I thought they might snatch one at the end. It made me laugh when their fans sang "Derby's a ****hole I want to go home" Is this an example of irony that Scouse mentioned to me the other day?

posted on 2/1/19

Sorry I didn't mean to infer that Wisdom was a winger. Although he'd do a better job there than 2 wingers I could mention.

posted on 2/1/19

I can only assume his players were told to rough up our two creative players. Wilson is very fleet of foot and avoids a lot of (so called) tackles (assaults) but he and Marriott must have been black and blue when the games was over. It is a pity the ref doesn't protect them better. I agree with much that you say VC.

Keogh really does himself no favours when he ALWAYS throws his arms up in the air after we let one in. He's like a petulant teenager.

posted on 2/1/19

Scouse! Keogh is an annoying individual - with staring eyes and a tendency to say to his interviewer "Like you say". even though he's not said it. But at the end of the day he is a footballer and in that role he does a very good job. It's not necessary to like or dislike his mannerisms. He is a footballer who has given a lot to Derby County (and quite a bit to QPR I know) But we all make mistakes. Try to see the good things in him and ignore the bad.

By the way he played really well on Tuesday.

I went to an exhibition of the Spanish Inquisition torture chambers yesterday which was probably less horrific than watching middlesbrough.

Huddersfield are doing their best to beat our record.

posted on 3/1/19

Oddly enough I take a perverse pride in "our record" despite attempts to wind us up over it.

The fans were amazing, there was brilliant black humour and stoicism on here, and in the words of The Proclaimers - its over an done with!

posted on 3/1/19

Yeah I know what you mean. Im sure they will get at least 2 more points over the rest of the season, but maybe they will score less than 20 and at least take that record off us, that's much more feasible.
