Hopefully this means that both Willian and Pedro are being moved on in the summer to make way for Pulisic and Cho on the wings next season.

Surprised it has actually happened, in a way, or at least that it’s happened so quickly. His record is average but the guy has been making appearances at a top level since he was 17, and so he’s shown enough to be trusted from a young age and pretty likely he’ll improve in some form for output.
Even if not, if he’s signed in the context of just being a Pedro/Willian replacement, it’s a pretty good signing, aka first team player but not first name on team sheet, even if output doesn’t improve. I think the price is a bit high for that, not unlikely we could probably get a similarly promising young player for cheaper, but oh well.

However although if this signing is to bank on a replacement for Hazard than its not great.

Decent signing Brummie, but why loan him back?

That's what I am hoping for too. Hope Willian goes to China or something and Pedro will probably end up back in Spain.

Dortmund made it clear they needed him till the end of the season and weren't going to let him go now, this way we avoid a bidding war in the summer (United's new manager could have decided he wanted him, for example).

Dortmund publicly guaranteed he wouldn't be leaving in January, I'm guessing that's why. But least it means fans will stop $h!tting their pants about CHO, which is great

Id be more worried about what this move says about Hazard's future than Willian's or Pedro's !

What makes you so confident we will keep CHO? Wouldn't be surprised if he went in the summer to one of the clubs in Germany,

I'm still more worried about him going sooner or later, than I am about Hazard. I've reconciled myself with the fact that he'll probably go if the parasites from Madrid up the ante over him.

For me though CHO is the future and even a little symbolic in that I felt he has the potential to be the 1st academy product to make a big impact at the club since JT.

If he does go I think a lot of Chelsea fans will feel that, if CHO can't make it at the club, then none of them have a chance.

"I have to admit I can't understand why we'll pay that sort of money for someone else's young player but show so little faith in our own!"

My first thought too, especially since Dortmund don't even play him now.

Think he's a very decent signing and the fact he's American keeps your bean counters happy....

RB Leipzig and Juventus are also keen on securing Callum Hudson-Odoi’s signature - as well as Bayern Munich - Sky Sports News understands.

The player’s first choice is Bayern Munich and Chelsea are holding out for £30m for the 18-year old.

But the right circumstances need to be in place for him to succeed in the first place. Good performances at youth level count for next to nothing without them. Whether it's right or not we're a club that's very quick to judge players, from the board to the management through to the fans.... e.g. Christensen couldn't have been better prepared to solidify himself into the first team, had two fantastic years in the Bundesliga, had replaced Luiz in Conte's setup, then one misplaced pass against Barcelona followed by an average end to the season and people's opinions soured fast. Easily forgotten that he's still one of the best young CB's in Europe.

I absolutely agree CHO should've gotten more game time this season (similar to RLC's minutes), also agree that selling him now would be ridiculous, but I can't oppose the club's decision to sign a player who potentially (keyword) could rival his position based off what at this stage is a utopian feeling of a youngsters future that comes from the luxury of unknown professional football potential.

Since Sarri isn't giving him enough minutes for whatever reason the ideal solution for him and the club is a loan move. Probably won't happen now till the summer but I can't hide my delight in what I assume will be people calming down amid this Bayern rumor with the loan back clause on Pulisic's deal because the infatuation of CHO with so few professional minutes to merit it is getting a bit much now. He's only 18 y/o, he's got plenty of time.
