Frankie, I get what others are saying on other threads, we do need more than a striker.
But a better striker this season and i'm 100% confident we'd have more points than we do now.
This is a bit left field but Morelos from Rangers who is too good for the SPL is someone who is like Costa (poor mans maybe) where he will chase every ball, play dirty and potentially score goals. Opposition fans and players will hate him while his team and fans will love him.
Definitely, Morata 5 goals and Giroud 1 goal I believe which is damn right shocking.
A Vardy or Wilson would be in double figures playing for us, albeit Vardy has had quite a few injuries this season.
Would we get the best out of Vardy though?
His game relies on balls played through to run onto, whereas our game at the moment appears to rely on endless passing across the midfield and trying to walk the ball to the goal line or cross from the edge of the box to no one in particular.
Vardy may get a little frustrated.
We do often get crosses in with no one in the box to take advantage which is one of the fortes of Abraham. I'd sooner see us give him till the end of the season to see what he could do.

I don't know why Vardy isn't on the radar of the big teams. Other than Arsenal showing an interest a few seasons ago, that's been it.
He's the best striker outside of the top 6 and a proven goalscorer, with a great record against the top 6 to boot.
I genuinely don't think we'd even consider a bid of less than £100m. If that sounds excessive (and it should), it'll sound excessive to Premier League chairmen as well. Particularly for someone you're describing as a short term solution.

I'm going to go out on a not very risky limb and predict that within the next three matches we will score for fun once again. Lets be specific and say that we will score 6 goals in the next three matches. And not necessarily with clean sheets either...
What do I base that on, because its about time...

The chances of him becoming a long term regular is very slim. One of the main reasons why he didn't sign for Arsenal. Chelsea will always want the big name.

Well be as it may, think many footballers would rather the chance to play in the bigger competitions than have a bit more money, when they're already earning a lot. Only perhaps he thought Leicester could continue their stay in the top places after the title win.

I'm not talking about winning it again, but be no worse than Arsenal let's say, and clearly they have been.
I guess one day we'll find out, when he releases an autobiography that nobody except Leicester fans will read. But my thought about it is this:
It seems he did find himself in a position where he had to decide between moving to Arsenal or staying at Leicester, although the situation was set up ages in advance by his agent getting a buy-out clause into his contract and then essentially holding Leicester to ransom to get it removed (i.e. give him a gold mine or he'll leave and you can't do anything about it). Fair play to the agent, that's what they're paid for. And people within our club learned a harsh lesson with that and Kanté (who did leave on the relative cheap). However, he chose to stay at Leicester, and has continued to opt for Leicester through the signing of a new 4-year contract in the summer and retiring from England.
In a way it is loyalty, and I'm sure that crosses most players' minds in that kind of situation, even those who go on to leave. But my theory is that his time in the England squad affected his decision a lot more. There, he would have met lots of players who came from a very different place to him. Players who came through academies, who spent years of their early careers at big clubs. Meanwhile, he was playing for pub teams and getting tagged for assault. He's a different sort of character on the training ground also, well known as a clown and someone who loves banter - still like a non-league player at heart really. I think he would have met all these players on England duty and, while not necessarily disliking them as such, feeling that his face didn't fit there.
At Leicester, that difference doesn't matter. The dressing room is well used to him, several are still there from our Championship days and those that come in know he's a key player and one whose ability they should respect. It would be very different for him moving to a big club, in a way that didn't really apply to any of Kanté, Mahrez or Drinkwater.
And that's why I think he stayed.
Well done Leicester City and Jamie Vardy.<bubbles>
