Yes Desi. Cannot understand why he declined so after being so influential in those early games.

Best of luck George Thorne. You will be remembered with fondness and respect by all Derby fans.

Those three career ending injuries would do it, sadly. I personally felt he would have benefitted from going on loan last season to a League One club and building his confidence up. Rowett playing him in a two man midfield when he's more of a CDM in a three man midfield didn't help, just didn't see what he's capable of, in my opinion.

Two knee ligaments and a broken leg each of which injury is capable of ending an athlete's career. That broken leg was so unnecessary, in a meaningless game and probably cost us a promotion.

You can't predict a broken leg. Players can break their legs in training. Dave Mackay broke his leg on my first birthday at Shrewsbury, playing for Spurs reserves. Obviously Bill Nicholson was a fool for playing him in that match.

This is a good move for GT. Luton are a good team with something to play for so he will be pushed hard, but at a level below what he is still capable of.
Hopefully, proper game time will see him regain some decent match fitness and reignite his career

Glad to see some more comments for Gorgeous today.
I echo Desi's sentiments and hope he does well at Luton.
He's a classy player & deserves better than turning out for the u23s.
I always got the impression that his problems were a bit more complex than the merely physical.
What might have been, eh George ?
