Nicely written, Mike!
May I suggest that when we each think about writing something nasty, we think of Harj and reconsider how we express our differences of opinion?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Absolutely Jonny.
That being said LIW's lass jokes are quite necessary and I like to think Harj is chuckling reading them.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well, of course, those comments, primarily between you and him, are in jest, I’m talking about the nasty comments we sometimes make, the personal insulting ones.
Didn’t know him well but saddened to hear, especially a fellow Punjabi. RIP Harj

Great idea.
So sad! I always had great admiration for him on here and I’m sure we would have got on really well if we’d met.
RIP fella! We’ve lost one of the gud uns
Pags, remember the gang when we all met up at Whistlestop, you, SWW, Harj, Roz, LIW, RCDM, Phil, Highland, Tyke, Drig........great days.
I know Jonty.
It’s why I’m so upset. I used to see at ER most games and get a big hug off him. Sometimes saw him outside work too.
Can’t stop crying like an idiot.
Jonny, maybe you can feedback this post to Harj's relative so the family can see this little part of Leeds family that Harj was part of.

Agreed! News like this certainly puts things in perspective.
Maybe a good time for some to call a truce?
Absolutely a truce is a good thing, ppl can disagree but let's wipe the slate clean and get some momentum building here like it is on the pitch.
Was just looking at a photo of that Jonty unfortunately Harj not on it, Shako and SweetC along with Dubs and Moz and Pags , a great way to remember one of the Originals from BBC 606 days
Thanks for letting us know Jonny
I think SWW has a photo of him somewhere.
She took lots of pics over the years. Just such a shame.
Ah Shako, remember bringing him up some scrumpy when he came over with 27 of his kids for a match!
Those were the days when we had 606 fan football teams, those were the days....
Gutted to hear this news.
Met him a couple of times with a beer, a thoroughly great guy & a passionate fan.
RIP Harj - greatly missed.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Already done, earlier today when we had about 12 comments here.
My filter is off.
Let’s build something special here in memory of Harj!
Promotion this season and one big get together in the summer would be a fitting way to remember a fellow 606er.
Football is just not important today, kind of feared this. - never met Harj but always respected his input on here. He came across as a committed Leeds fan but don't ever remember him getting personal at all - there is a moral in that.
God bless him and his family.
Sorry to hear this news. My condolenced to all of you who knew him personally.
RIP Harj
To those who'd not met Harj how can you describe him?
Normal, down to earth, chirpy, easy to be around, middle aged with family, very proud of his son, passionate Leeds fan, glass half full type of person, got on well with everyone.
Let me tell you small story about him. I was taking my son Noah to his first proper Leeds match in Watford as I live not far from the ground, back in 2010 and Harj got us tickets using his and his son's STs and sent me the cards so that we could get in on the day.
Top man, I'll miss him.
Haven't got anyone filtered, but if I did would have removed them for Harj. Top man. Least that can be done.
We are all Leeds, after all.

Spot on!
4 days into the new year before the first piece of truly crap news.
Obviously only knew him from posting on here, so I aint anywhere near as close to him as some on here were. Still crap new though
Sad news. Obviously don't spend too much time on your board but recognise the name.
Does make you wonder what has happened to other posters on here who have suddenly disappeared.
and just how virtual (unreal) this community really is.
