Im going. Hoping to see Max Lowe...possibly Bird...and Holmes to start on the wing. Even a little cameo for Sibley.
If Holmes doesn't start, I'm kicking derrière
Be interesting to see Holmes start. Causing a bit of chatter amongst the Faithful.
It's elementary dear View.
Maarnin' all
Do I detect a certain lack of enthusiasm for this one ?
Guess we'll see from who turns up ?
Morning All
Sitting in car, trying to force myself out into the cold đĽś
Just got up. Dog Walk,Gym,Food shop....all to do before the game. Which order to do it in is causing me stress.
If only you were 666 you wouldn't have these dilemmas Backo. Just got up, food shop, no problem.
Good idea to get up first though, Backo
Good morning everybody.
Wilson deserves a rest, but not to be ill. Good chance for TL. Holmes has to be first name on the sheet. Frank has to balance - giving new blood a run-out and a pretty desirable 4th round.
I wouldn't have Holmes in goal, Ramdini. He wouldn't be good on crosses, being quite a little chap.
Les Green wasn't that big Vidal, you never know until it's tried.
True Spart, but even Les Green could look down on an oompa-loompa. I favour playing Holmes in a more advanced position than goalkeeper.

So, you want to replace Keogh with Holmes?
I'm going to be controversial and say he should be even more advanced than that.
Again keep an open mind View. Equality of opportunity is my mantra. Sounds like blatant heightism from some posters on here. I feel certain Holmes would be more capable of cutting out crosses than the Tranmere number 5 last night.
I love the idea that in a game like this, we just draw the names out of a hat and see what we get.

Sorry to have to state the obvious but first on the team sheet does not mean he replaces Carson. It's just that it occurred to me he might try Roos and give Carson a break. Like I said, i's a balance between trying new blood and getting through to round 4.
My order of selection, just to illustrate the point would be.:- Holmes, Carson or Roos, Wisdom LB, Keogh, Bogle, Tomori, Evans, Mount, Waghorn, Marriott. Lawrence (in the absence of Wilson)
The last 5 choices all in a rush together.
As its a cup game the radio commentary SHOULD be live on 'tinterweb?

And no one (well one or two people) ever suggest resting Keogh!
Incidentally very impressed by Pochettino. When asked why he introduced Harry Kane when 0-6 up v Tranmere said that it was out of respect to the opposition. That is class
