Hmmm

Not impressed at all.

Another project in the form of Weah. No fault to be boy but all I have in my mind is another Musonda as in far too lightweight for our league.

Bayo; meh. Big lump and that’s it as far as I can see.

Burke? What in the name of the wee man are we giving this failure space for in an attempt to resurrect his career? Who does he replace? Forrest? One of our best and most consistent players this season? Brilliant.

And as you say no sign of anything defensively. That’s coming on 3 years now ffs. Three years.

But as ever the board don’t back BR. I truly despair. Has Pete picked these guys too?

Our team is tired and needs reinforcing work netter quality and fresh faces. Guys ready to improve us now because we’re hanging in by the skin of our teeth and that’s it. And it’s deteriorating further as a number of teams are wise to our tactics to the point where a relatively poor Hibs and Hearts side can embarrass us and Rangers made us look like a pub side on the day.

Yes the team and manager have done exceptionally well and way past our expectations but it’s had it’s big t wake up call yet and nothing seems to have been done since the so called summer fiasco.

He’ll do the deal but I’m not sure about sanctioning them. Do you want him to go over the managers head?

His job is to try and get the manager what he wants within the financial boundaries and limits he has authority over. After that it’ll go to the Chairman and maybe the other shareholders for approval.

has he not went over his head in previous transfer markets leaving us in the state we are now?

I wouldn’t know and I’m guessing there will be those that will suggest so because it’s an easy target and they can’t see past the managers weaker areas.

What he may well do is not give approval for a purchase or a wage that is way beyond his authority levels albeit that has to be significant to be able to sanction £9m for Edouard and give massive wages to Brown and Ntcham.

Massive losses year on year and the only way they don’t get sanctioned is because they borrow from within as in the form of soft loans from board directors. They’re headed for another huge loss and have now further increased their cost base way beyond sustainability.

Even if they won the league they would have 4 qualifiers to get into the CL proper and that’s getting harder every year so there’s absolutely no guarantee of some golden pot at the end of their particular rainbow.

And at what point do the soft loans become higher in value than the remaining equity they’re meant to be repacked by. Lastly King still has the TO chasing him down and if they succeed that would be a disaster for him and in turn the club.

Totally agreed.

Why anyone expected big shakes in a January transfer is beyond me.

I’d love to be proved wrong.

Edouard was more of a risk than what Edouard was given he hadn’t even featured for PSG or his national team. Weah has done both and he’s a winger who is the type to get people off their seats. No one knew anything about Roberts before he was signed either.

Musonda is the only loan deal of this type that has failed us, very harsh to state that one as the benchmark.

Bayo allows us to be more direct when needed, get on the end of crosses and allows us to bring Edouard over to the left when needed.

Burke I’m not happy with but he at least gives us pace and power and if anyone can coach the boy to be better then it’s rodgers.

The defensive signings are of course the biggie, I’ll wait and see how the next week or so pans out.
