Ref: Vardy.

Maybe it has been said on here, maybe not? But the last goal Vardy scored and then came the cartwheel & somersault . . . . . . . . . . . i thought he was nursing a groin injury?
Does this suggest a 2-fingered salute to Puel to state that he is as fit as a fiddle and that all talk of protecting an injury is total bull? Without publically calling the manager out, was this just the perfect way to say his fitness was just fine?
Nice one Jamie if so.

really i think it was relief in actually scoring on a one on one with the keeper for the first time in about four attempts.

Yeah totally, Vardy's sh!te these days, totally past it.

Nev, maybe it was relief at scoring?
But, if you want to play in all the games as Vardy does, do you really think that he would risk flaring up an injury that he has supposedly been carrying for a few weeks?

No conspiracy theory. Probably just letting the fans know that all is well and not to listen to all the "Jamie needs a rest" talk?

He's still feeling it. Every other home game we see Vardy grabbing his groin at some point and looking pained.

At least I assume it's his groin.

On the other hand, maybe Becky's wearing him out. I notice his wrist isn't bandaged anymore.

Well there you go celebrating his repetitive strain injury cure by trying it out with Cartwheels and somersault nothing to do with his groin.
If you think his groin strain has gone away thats to do with sprinting not acrobatics although i am glad he did not hobble off after than.

Puel and Vardy’s relationship does appear strained Nev. Does this not concern you at all?

Or are you an ostrich?

That was actually a joke Nev. when I re-read it I had Pearson’s voice in my head and it sounded all aggressive 😂

The question was still genuine.

No i think you are right Vardy has a £125 per week and a four year contract enough at the present rate to see out three managers.
He does not want competition for his main man slot and Puel wants an alternative so thst means Vardy might not play in games like Cardiff or come on later but play in games where we can counter attack.
I cant see that going down well.

Also its one hell of a trick but as a footballer would you not want to be able to play in another way rather than just on the break especially as you get older your pace will go.

Vardy's got nothing to lose has he he can just sit any manager out and wait for the next one just as my hero Kasper (not being sarcastic)

Ironic then that Vardy's Goals keep Managers in their jobs.

Has it TB did not help Shakey or Claudio did it

Of course, he helped to extend both their stays but then they played to his strengths, with Puel it’s different, Vardy scores DESPITE Puel’s tactics, still keeping him on a job though.

I think Vardy does have more to his game than just playing on the last man. I think he’s already proven this.

There is no denying that his strengths are running in behind, and linking up play with a number 10 or wingers. No getting away from that.

However he’s still managed to score goals in Puel’s system despite getting hardly any chances. As such, I’d strongly argue is Puel’s system letting Vardy down not the other way round.

Also, the fact that all the other players Puel has tried in Vardy’s place have looked more isolated, more incompetent and more useless suggests that it is indeed Vardy who is making the system work, rather than Vardy not being right for the system.

For me that’s the case anyway.

That or Puel needs to quickly identify the man he wants there. The fact that he thought Gray was an genuine option terrifies me in terms of who he’d bring in over Vardy.

Boring we only have one striker who can score goals thats a problem he needs competition and we need options Shinji and ian are not doing the job

Clearly, but it's hardly Vardy's fault our recruitment in this area has been garbage is it?

posted on 9/1/19

Not his fault but can you see why he might be a road bloke to recruitment?

posted on 9/1/19

Personally I think Puel’s style would be a bigger road block for any forward thinking of coming to Leicester.

Plus the fact Puel has stated many times, he’s happy with his squad, happy with the James’s, the Morgans’s and the Ian’s.
