Bad luck Leeds

Let's face it, pre season when we all looked at the squad on paper, none of us can honestly say we thought "That's a promotion team." I think Messiah has already proved he's a genius and miracle worker. Water into red wine and all that. We just need a few flagons more.

Here's hoping the wine is a very special Vintage!

From an outsiders view the big difference appears to be in adversity this Leeds team roll their sleeves up and scrap for one another where they did seem to down tools rather quickly in the past

A combination of bad luck and poor summer recruitment.

Going into a season with 2 centre backs is idiotic. Don’t care what anyone says, it’s pathetic.

Our lack of activity could well cost us.

Summer activity was poor but considering how well Berardi played in August at centreback, maybe Bielsa was correct in his assessment of the team. Unlucky for us to have Berardi and Cooper injured at the same time, with Phillips suspended.

That Phillips tackle might come back to haunt us. Having him in front of the back four on Friday could make all the difference. Foreshaw has to step his game and concentration up but he also needs others to show for the ball.

Tough game but the seniors available should have enough at home.

Am hearing Pabs is doubtful for Direby

I think we've done extremely well in the circumstances but now some additional work is required.

There's potential movement on the cards with all of the exits recently reported.

Fingers crossed we don't have to wait too long for the cavalry.....

Cooper back, Berardi and Bamford not far behind, Alioski suddenly remembering how to play football, and a cup game that essentially cut Phillips' suspension from 3 games to 2.

These next couple of weeks are gonna be tough, but remember what we accomplished across November and December with the same injury problems.

What if Orta pulls a big signing out of the bag.
Imagine the euphoria if he did.
Someone we’ve heard of and know it’s a step above the present team.
Eg a Strachan.

The silver lining is Norwich v West Brom this weekend.

I posted this on another thread:

Not606 poster, with apparent solid connection within the club has posted "I'm told it's a wow signing, world and European champion" and "Deal should be done on Monday."

A Spaniard?

Are you sure of your commitment up there?

Bamford/Brown aren’t certain.

Wouldn’t be surprised if a Brown doesn’t play this season.
