Imagine you work really hard at work and get everything done by the Thursday, so you can take the Friday off.

But then another employee has slacked and has a lot of work to catch up on on Friday, so because they have too much work to do, you have to work the Friday, doing the work they didn't do, whilst they get it off, because it might make them tired.

Kinda explains why its so rare to see even unbelievable squads like cities win 3 trophies let alone 4.
Gets congested so fast.

Some disagree but I think this is why you have to prioritise to some degree. Remember if you dont win the cup they end up being games largely wasted.

As rubbish as the trophy is (in terms of a priority), if spurs beat chelsea and city, itll be a well deserved cup, for once.

City defo got the rub of the green with the draw but I wouldnt hand them the cup just yet

Most definitely Footy. We've had a very tough draw.

Watford A
West Ham A
Arsenal A

Spurs will have played Prem clubs in every round if they were to win it, so would be well deserved.

Aye. They should stick a 4th handle on the famous jug to mark the achievement

Or Spurs have played 4 Prem teams who were trying to go out, whilst others have had to play teams who have wanted to go through. In the end the winner of the carling cup is the team who doesn’t not want it the most. Or least. One of them.

Why is it on a Thursday rather than the usual Wednesday?

League Cup game should be prioritised if it comes to that, now that we are so close to making the final and winning something. Plus it would be a great feeling to win something at this point in the season knowing there's a lot more to play for.

Well did Wolves get a tough draw in the FA cup, facing a Liverpool side trying to go out? Sometimes you have to look past the name of the team and consider the circumstances. Did Arsenal want to be in the carling cup, with the Europa League (CL qualification) to focus on? Not really. The only reason City are in it is because they can be with a B team. Spurs are trying to win it because they haven't won a trophy in so long. And you should win it unless City accidentally win it.

Yeah because teams enter cups to intentionally go out of them

Makes you wonder why these clubs bother to put eleven men out on the pitch at all

Why have Spurs never done well in the Europa League? Is it because they have never been good enough to compete in the Europa League?

yes that is why.

Our game against Palace will get moved to the sunday, it's just the TV companies sorting out their end at the moment. 3 days between games as per usual.

Yes this fixture congestion can make us tired, but at the same time it allows us to build good momentum. Look at City, dodgy couple of weeks before Xmas, then a morale boosting win over Liverpool followed by 2 brutal beat downs on the bounce, I bet they can't wait for this weekends fixture.

First ever winners of the UEFA cup, and won it twice. We had a spell in its me guise as the Europa league, of about 3 years running where we were knocked up by slim margins by the eventual winners.
