Guys with regards to youth players lets be brutally honest here, I really cannot think of any of the youth players we released has me tearing my hair out and crying because they had become that total class.
The best one I can think of is Nathan Ake but even then for me he is doing ok, I would not say world class.
And the other recent one's Chalobah, Solanke, are they really all that?
Maybe Hudson Odoi needs to take a look at Solanke, sometimes the grass is not always greener on the other side

Yeah I feel the same and made the point above.. none of our previous players from the academy are really tearing it up.. ex players are.. not academy graduates.. some fans want youth playing just because they're youth.

The same fans will moan when we don't get a result against Spurs at Wembley whilst dominating the game in a Semi-final with 2 academy players on the pitch. You can't win.

Chalobah spent 12 months out with an injury, before that was Watford’s strongest players and called upto the England squad. Ake is doing well at Bournemouth. Bertrand Traore is doing well at Lyon. It’s not about them being ‘total class’ it’s about them being perfectly adequate to be squad/rotation players for us as opposed to spending £35m on Drinkwater or £40m on Bakayoko.

You don't play youth for the sake of it. But when you have players like Loftus-Cheek and Hudson-Odoi on your books you have to play and develop them. Anyone can see that they're both going to become top players if they aren't already.

The is the first time under Roman I've felt that we have youngsters who are better than players who regularly start.

Hudson Odoi is on par with Pedro, 13 years younger and he's English. He's a level above Willian too.

Loftus-Cheek is our best option for the LCM position too, IMO.

They have to start for the sake of the team NOW and not just in the years to come.

Ryan Bertrand,RLC,Mason Mount,Nathan Ake and CHO are 4 players that Chelsea have produced in the last 8 years from their youth setup.Ryan Bertrand should have stayed after his Champions League win with Chelsea and playing as a useful substitute for Chelsea.Mason Mount is good enough to make it at Chelsea and RLC is quite decent and as for CHO,he is class.Ake has also done alright and has been linked with a move to Man City or Man U recently. Not too bad for a club which supposedly ruins young players!

I don’t think anyone is suggesting Chelsea ruin young players. In fact it’s almost the opposite, the academy seems to produce talent and I believe Chelsea have good representation in england youth teams.

The point is those players don’t get opportunities at senior level so have to leave to make an impact. Bertrand and Ake are examples of just that.

Surely his family members are only helping him to progress? They've seen how well Sancho is doing and probably thinking CHO can do the same at Bayern. It's Bayern Munich!

Also Chelsea have been horrendous with bringing through youngsters for about 10 years, worse in the country.

I like to put myself in his shoes and I would be leaving Chelsea, in fact I would have left Chelsea years ago unless I was an ardent Chelsea fan.

Or the most likely scenario is that they have no real way of improving their own lives other than trying to make their money out of one of their own family.

I've no doubt the parasites from Munchen will have offered them a nice sweetener to deliver him and it's them that are trying to drive his move to Bavaria.

In short they see him as their golden goose and want to cash in on him.

I may be wrong of course and they have his best interests at heart but I wouldn't bet on it.

Even they must see his career is starting to open up at Chelsea now, so why the desperation to move so urgently?

Brummie it's why I've always been adamant that close family members should not be A player's agent.

This is not a new thing. I can prove I felt this way years ago. I've always maintained Anelka did not have the quality of career he should have and I blame his brothers for that.

Although I am glad we got him, Anelka's career should have had far fewer moves that meant that he never got to us.
