Leeds 1-3 Derby - Not confident at all. Best player out, poor keeper and poor form, plus we struggle to kill teams off.

Hey, what's with the negative waves Shaun?

I'll go for a 1:0 home win. Will be a tight game but we have enough to scrape a win.

No logic to it but got a feeling we might be pleasantly surprised when we least expect it.

What I never understand is how anybody can support Leeds United. Brian Clough was right. What they had won was won by cheating and clogging.

I don't know if they are different now. I certainly hope so when we should be in for a really great game of football. It looks very likely that LU will win automatic promotion and Derby have not yet lost interest in promotion.

All in all, given a strong and unbiased referee, it COULD be a very decent game. Lets us hope so and may the better team on the night win.

For all our injuries its actually a decent team.

It won't happen but I would be tempted to leave Ayling on the right (to try and regain his form and fitness) and play Alioski at left back.

That would potentially leave us a bit short on the wing. Maybe this presents a chance for Clarke.

Back four for me should be:
Ayling-Jansson-Cooper-Pearce

... traditional, I suppose?

Such a noisy, self-important little club, Derby, a bit like there erstwhile booze-ridden manager.

Important game for us to get back into the winning habit and keep some daylight at the top .. I reckon we'll do it.

Clough was an arrogant, drunken buffoon. Roy McFarland and Dave McKay were hardly non-cloggers.

I don't believe either team have any players still playing from 45 years ago

Bielsa has demonstrated that the Harrison first half/Clarke second half combo is really effective. I don't see him changing that at this point.

Ramdini, just for you I hope Leeds United put on the same show at Elland Road as they did at Pride Park at the start of the season

Goebbels and Trump like unfounded propaganda but repeated so often people actually believe it.

Many teams had plenty of cloggers who dished it out.

Leeds were happy to, and capable of, playing beautiful football. Other teams realized that the only way to try to stop Leeds was to play dirty. Leeds simply responded in kind.

But each will choose which narrative to believe, eh?

Nervous about this one. I hope the usual collapse after christmas, is not in the back of the players minds. Especially after the recent poor form
I think it will be a draw

No need for that Ramdini. Keep it civilised, the Leeds fans are mourning the loss of an esteemed poster. Hope we beat you, we didn’t play badly in August just you played better that day. Both sides have a reputation for post Christmas slumps. May ours have finished and yours continue.

1-0 Leeds, Roofe with the goal. Think we'll treat this like a cup final given the 3 defeats in a row and actually put in a dominant performance. Probably won't take all our 15 clear cut chances though, hence the 1-0.

Very decent, thanks mate!

Looking forward to a fun game.

In my eyes, you have one of the legends of English football and an apparently very decent human being. Success is ahead as long as he is backed by your board, IMHO.

Before I give any thoughts on the match, I just wanna say something:

Due to my really lousy working hours/financial situation, I'm lucky if I can make it to more than one Leeds game a season, so I don't really get a chance to meet any of you guys in person.

This is why I've kept quiet about Harj. I felt like it wasn't really my place to say anything as I didn't really know him, especially compared to so many others on here.

There's no denying I'm gonna miss his contributions to this board, and I know all too well how painful losing a loved one is and my heart truly goes out to his family.

RIP, Harj.

As for the match:

I'm gonna say Leeds 3 - 1 Derby, Roofe, Clarke and Harrison to score.

We need a big response after the last 3 games, and I really feel like we're gonna get it.

Nice one, Tall.
As for this one, if Wilson is out, we can do it. He is the difference for me. However, Clarke on Keogh will be interesting too. Key players have rested and should be up to it. Coops will improve our backline. Hard to see a winner. 1-1. Alioski.

Genuine question Ramdini - how old are you? Any younger than 55 and you cant really comment too much on the Leeds 70s side. That would just make you a sheep.
