never will he get his groove on whilst getting 5 mins here or there and when he came in last year and was playing in the cups, we had a slow start to the season and were gash in the cups so I think it's harsh to judge him on last seasons 'appearances'

This is what I don't understand - he was barely given a chance before being dismissed by Poch.
I vaguely remember Poch talking about needing to see more from him in training. Maybe he was seen as one of the 'Levy bargain spends' as he's been treated the same way as GNK and N'Jie

Even though he never had much luck in front of goal, I always thought his hold up play was pretty decent. He always seemed to be in the right kind of positions, just never had much luck. Defo tried hard & put himself about.
Given how we have improved when Kane doesn't play, the fluidity between Son, Dele, Eriksen, Moura is so much better than it was (all are great finishers).....I wouldn't mind giving him another go. I could see him playing playing well in a 2 with Either Sonny or Moura
Only problem now is that we don't have any games where we could just give him a game & see how he does.... Cup games from here on in are massive.
A CM is a far bigger priority now than a back up for Kane & there's no way Levy get his money back on him
