Derby Haven’t Sold 1487 Tickets

No late rush, it's on television, Elland Road is an awful ground and over priced. Thought of going as I live in Yorkshire but decided I could do without an evening of searching for a parking place, having to pee in the smelliest bogs in the Championship and paying a premium price for the privilege.

Elland Rd is an awful ground? So you're not going?

And parking is very easy if you're willing to walk 5 mins to the ground from your car.

Just very poor excuses for not going.

Not selling your allocation for this game is a poor effort.

I can understand why away fans won't go. Very expensive prices and not an overly modern stadium. Plus the view from the away section isn't great.

What about the home fans? We've sold out, they have loads of spare seats when they're on sky at home. No excuses for not selling their allocation.

I am willing to walk further than 5 minutes and the fact that I find I would rather not go to Elland Road when it is only about 40 minutes drive says a lot about how awful, overpriced and dated the ground is.

How do you know if you don't go?

I love Elland Road obviously.

As do all the Leeds fans that go. Let's not pretend that we have sold out ER every game for the past eight years. I remember a lot of games at half attendance.

Because I've been before or didn't that cross your mind. Northern rail haven't helped as well with their new time table making it a close run thing whether I can catch my last train.

Hillsborough is overpriced and a poor experience for away fans as well but not as bad as Elland Road. We always sold out for udders even before they halved the allocation, Elland Road is in need of some serious updating to bring it up to 21st century standards.

I love ER and don't see any problem with it. The old dated traditional feeling still works there. I love the place. Watched a game at the Maracana last year which had 10k fans, makes you appreciate the good support we get in England

How long have you been sniffing Glue for Mai pen?
I'm glad you're no longer in the country, one less nit wit to worry about.

not surprised that someone from the Esteemed Spa town of Harrogate would turn up his nose at Barnsley.
But......come on......Leeds?....
how you can you even mention Leeds in the same username?......

I've been to every away ground in Yorkshire with, absolutely don't turn my nose up at any ground. Where did I do that?

Imagine not going to a big game because the ground 'isn't modern enough'

What a god awful comment

Always said it's the away support that determines the size of a club, and we're massive, Derby like many are nowhere near.

Obviously I love Elland Road, I can see why away fans don't.

High ticket price, outdated facilities.

If we went up I'd love to see money to knock down 1 stand at a time and make them symmetrical in height / look to the East Stand,

Do people genuinely go to away games for the facilities?

The reason the League One days were some of the best I've ever had are because we got to go to grounds we will never get to go to again, some from the dark ages.

If people are honestly not going to games because the toilets are old and the bar isn't high tech enough then its another reason to say modern football is an embarrassment.

You would say that as your home support has been bang average bordering dire until this season

When you are considering to attend an away game you want value for money which means being able to see the game. Grounds with pillars and low gradient terracing don't offer a great view. You have to ask yourself the question whether the experience is worth the entry cost and in the case of Leeds the answer is usually no. Drop the prices to match the experience or improve the experience.
