Derby Police accuse LUFC

None of these places talking about it have been very transparent on the rules. If he wasn't on their premises then I struggle to see what exactly he is supposed to have done, and I assume had he broken some laws then he would have been detained.

Could someone with the knowledge clarify whether or not this is violating official rules or not? If so then looks bad for the club, but might just be the sheep trying to sow some trouble before one of their biggest games.

Derby Fans: Leeds are spying on our training dock them points, relegate them, not right!

Bielsa: This is our line up, this is how we’ve been training, this is how we’ll play and what formation we will use

Derby have complained to the FA - about a Leeds employee standing outside their training ground with binoculars.

Illegal? Doubt it. Unethical? Possibly.

Not sure what they can actually do unless they can make up a new rule pretty quick.

So it's just Derby throwing a hissyfit? Good.

By the sound of it the police let the man on his way. Sounds like no wrongdoing then. Still baffled as to why Derby Police would be tweeting details of an active investigation if there was anymore to come.

The pair of pliers shows he was going with intent to break and enter: he should be jailed indefinitely, possibly with periodic trips to public stocks/floggings, and Leeds demoted to Scottish football.

Her Majesty needs to make an example of this outrage.

They do this constantly for all manner of things down here. They're so crap at fighting crime that anything that can justify their existence gets publicised. Pathetic really. Don't know of any other force doing this 'hey look what good bobbies we are' crap.

There are loads that do it: it's supposed to be positive engagement but it kinda backfires when most people ring to report actual crimes and just get a crime number for their efforts.

I’m confused here. One report stating he had used pliers to cut his way into the training ground? Going equipped.

Hilarious, hope he got the info Bielsa wanted

Jeez I hope we win tonight. Would be frigging hilarious 😂

Do we seriously believe Leeds had sent a member of their staff with pliers to break into Derby's training ground?

I wouldn't disbelieve the spying story but pliers...come on, we're not this guilable. From the police tweets, a man was stood near a fence and was asked to move along. Could have been anyone.

The fence was untouched.

The EFL also said that it is for the two clubs to resolve. Sounds like no laws of the game broken then.

Most sane folk try their best to get away from Wooly Park, not attempt to get into it.

I got it off the BBC Sports app and not sure how I get a link from that. Hope it helps though.

Officers were called at around 11.20am on Thursday, January 10, to reports of a man acting suspiciously outside the @dcfcofficial training ground on Morley Road, #Derby. A man was found at the perimeter fence of Moor Farm and was spoken to. (1/2)

Officers conducted routine checks which were all above board. Despite media reports, no damage to the fence was found, and the man was stopped outside the grounds. No arrests were made and the man was sent on his way. (2/2)

What info did the 'spy' hope to obtain from a training session ffs???
Most spies go to a game or two and take notes. All fairly normal activity with all clubs doing it. Can't see what this non-story is all about. Bloody ridiculous

A change of clothes too - just in case he shat himself after watching them score 50 in training
