Godfather,

I've given up reasoning with you because you are blind to the facts I've written. You keep repeating the same things despite any response you get. It becomes tiresome.

City essentially have an entire country in the Gulf subsidising them. They can get away with it because they know how to game the system. That coupled with their on pitch success and high profile signings means their global profile has grown and so it is hard to judge what sponsorships are 'artificially inflated', which is why the PL haven't been able to penalise them. In stark contrast, we haven't had anywhere near as much success as them, so it would be easier to tell whether our sponsorships deals are too lucrative compared to them and our rivals. Also, Kroenke isn't the type of owner to personally invest his money into any of his sports franchises. He pretty much gives autonomy to his CE's to do the job. It's a shame Gazidis and Wenger completely ruined the responsibilities that were given to them.

This is all our signings since 2013 before this season

Sanogo
Flamini
Ozil
Sanchez
Debuchy
Ospina
Chambers
Welbeck
Gabriel
Cech
Elneny
Xhaka
Holding
Lucas Perez
Mustafi
Kolasinac
Lacazette
Mkhitaryan
Aubameyang

Sanchez, Auba, Holding and Laca are the only good signings, two of them play in the same position and Sanchez got traded for Mkhi who's useless. We got 1 year out of Cech and 18 months of good form from Ozil in 6 years and that's from about 350m spent.

We have spent a lot though, not as much as Utd and City but enough to be competitive or at least miles better than we are.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We have spent the fifth most. If we wanted to finish above Liverpool United Chelsea City we needed to spend an awful lot more over the years

Until two years ago Wenger was constantly getting us top four and cups despite being out spent. He finally became human and stopped over achieving. Emery is now finding it difficult to emulate Wengers unappreciated success of top four and cups with small expenditure as I always predicted a new manager would
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah he did well until 2013 with financial constraints. Then when we started spending loads of money we got worse. Your selective choosing 3 years as it supports your argument a bit better. The fact is we've spent heavily just on chit players.

You are the most blinkered, deluded and hypocritical poster I think I have ever come across.

I just can't believe you actually believe this claptrap.

'Overachieved'. We have the 3rd highest net spend since Klopp arrived at Liverpool in 2015. 4th highest from 2012.

We have the 9th highest wage bill in Europe. Liverpool's is £9m more than ours in 8th. So there's not much between us in that regard. Yet we are nowhere near their level or any other club in the top 15.

Keep making as many excuses as you want though.

Add Giroud to your list.

That are 10 players on your list that are out on loan or been sold.

2-3 three players gone in the summer as well like Cech, Welbeck.

What does it show to you?

Why add Giroud? He wasn't bought in 2013.

It shows that the recruitment was bloody awful in the last 5 years, and the club are still suffering from it.

Giroud was 2012. That window we signed Giroud, Cazorla, Podolski and Monreal all were pretty good signings. Since then our transfers have been a joke.

posted on 13/1/19

Godfather would rather take the easy route of blaming the fans for all this, because we’re ‘not questioning Kroenke’ and putting him under pressure, whilst still backing Wenger - a man perfectly placed for years to do exactly that - gets off scot-free.

Unbelievable reasoning.

You get what you paid for. Players like Mbappe, Kante, Hazard decided to join other clubs.

We arent competing with these big boys and we fail to give players competition about places and obviously continuing to buy or loan players that cost about 20M because we havent got money.

You have gone from ad hominem to just simply lying and hoping for the best. Chelsea, City and United have spent net light years ahead of us Liverpool not quite due to them receiving coutinho lottery money but have spent an immense amount investing in squad.

Yet you still absolve the owners spending.

Do you enjoy the concept of being cuckolded? Because your constant defence of our owners lack of investment is making you look a bit of a sub if I'm being honest

We have sold a lot of deadwood for good money.

Sold Benteke for 30m and bought Firmino for 30m.
Sold Stewart to Hull for 8m and bought Robertson for 8m from them.
Sold Sterling for 50m and bought Mane and Salah for 65m.
Sold Coutinho and bought VVD and Alisson and improved our defence.

It is about selling the deadwood and improving the weak areas.

Wenger was good at this and after Kroenke has bought the club you have gone backwards.

Your club was an example for our owners when they took over. They have said this many times.
Arsenal is a well run club and will get their act together no doubt about that.

Hoping for the best???

You can literally google this shiiit you absolute moron It is right there on the internet for you to see. It is public to everyone. That is of course assuming you understand how to use the internet on your device.

I'm not a huge fan of Kroenke, but the article I sent earlier (which you dismissed with your non-sequitur answers) literally explains why the anger shouldn't actually blamed at him and that Gazidis/Wenger have financially mismanaged the money that we had and the assets we've had.

If you don't understand this, I don't know what else to say to you other than to stop living in cuckoo land.

It's farcical that you are defending these guys to the hilt.

Can we just stop with what Wenger era has done wrong and just talk about the current regime.

Otherwise this discussion goes on and on.

6 months since Emery took over. Currently we are 2 points better than we were last season. CL dreams and top 4 is gone since yesterday.

I dont expected Emery to do miracles and compete about the title. We all knew that Liverpool and City are the only club that would challenge for the title. At least I knew.

What I wanted Emery to do is to make our defense improving. What I wanted to do is to find the right balance of the team and to perform on a consistent acceptable level.

We may agree that top 4 is out of reach this season. We lost in the League Cup to Spurs. If we lose against United in the FA cup we are worse than last year coming February.
