Seems Dimitri Oberlin from Basel is Celtic’s main target offensively this window

How about Gordon Strachan? He joined a successful team as Manager replacing Martin O' Neil who left with universal appreciation.
It should have been an easy appointment, keep the team playing well, etc... But for me, Strachan wasn't a great fit.
He was awful with the press and his favourites were given game time all too often. So for me he was a bit rubbish but has proven with roles since, he's definately got something to offer.

I think GS did a great job with he inherited an aging and team that had come to the end of its cycle and had to rejuvinate again which he did.

Utter revisionist nonsense
Strachan gets blamed for tearing MON's team apart but it needed it. MON's last season wasn't great. We lost the league and had he stayed longer his reputation would have been tarnished, He wasn't getting the funds to replace the big money signings he had made.
Strachan had to rebuild and got blamed for getting rid of what was in reality a lot of aging dead wood.
Strachan football wasn't great but it got us to the CL knock outs where only a Kaka extra time goal stopped us progressing further.
MON in all honesty left at the right time. We'd think less of him had he stayed and tried to persevere with the same team

BR says a lot of things.
He's also hardly going to come out and say "oh Yes, ready to throw millions at players and hold the club to ransom"
If a player of quality came available around that figure then I'd be sure we'd make a move.
i'm confused by the comments tbh.
i was led to believe that if a player who would improve the team and was worth the money blah blah blah
20 million for dembele, hoping ppl forget about it.

From Stein onwards, we have had some schite in charge.
MON (with a lot of dough and Henrik Larsson)
BR
NL
Jansen
They did well, BR still is.
McNeill
Diela
WGS
did ok.
Hay
Brady
Macari
Tam Burns (shame really)
Venglos
Barnes
Mowbary
Did nowhere near enough if you look at their tenure.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I thought Venglos did as bad as people think.... cure he didnt win the league but we spent a lot of money that year, he was right up against it IMO
We paid £4m for disco lights. We have the cash...
