You have said many times recently that spurs have "the best squad in the league"
Your team and manager have failed you badly if this is the case.
Are we getting close to the first "POCH OUT" of the season?

I think Sandy is the only person who thinks that.
Most of us realistic fans know we're way off Liverpool and City.
We have a first XI (when all fit) capable of challenging, but take 2-3 out of that team and we have no one of similar caliber to replace them.

I think Spurs have by far the 3rd best first eleven in England. If you kept everyone fit and in form you'd challenge every year for titles and no doubt win a few. Howevefr, as we all know it is impossible to keep everyone fit and firing over a long season and that is your problem as your backup simply is no where near the quality of Liverpool and City.
You are Arsenal of 10 years ago when we had the likes of RvP, Fabregas and Nasri, Toure, Clichy and Arshavin and always looked close to making that step from good on the eye, media darlings challengers to actual trophy winners. If the club doesn't invest and strengthen then eventually those players will look elsewhere.
Poch is working miracles to keep you up there and you are lucky to have a great striker in Kane who may well have left a few years ago if he wasn't such a spurs boy.

No chance mate. We might get far in the competition who knows, but do we have the bottle to actually go on and win it? Not a chance mate. If we are finding it virtually impossible to win a domestic trophy, I really can’t see us winning one of the hardest of them all.

Don, I think we have to make a real go of it. I still think we will win the Carabou Cup this season, and that will then be the stepping stone to the CL. Spurs have proved very resilient in cup competitions this season, it is what it is. I would fancy Spurs over two legs against any club, especially if we get back to the new ground, make it a fortress. It will make a massive different to playing at Wembley. Next season the new WHL could be worth 15-20 points more. Wembley is holding Spurs back.

Honest question, do you ever use logic in anything you say or think? On what basis do you believe Spurs will win the Carabou Cup? Getting to the final is in your hands - fair enough but why do you think Spurs will beat Man City?
There is no logic behind this and, like your pre season predictions of Spurs winning the Prem, this is based purely on your support and wishes rather than any sound thinking.
I expect you not to answer this and to filter me as you do everyone who supports a different club who questions you.

3. Spurs, even since City have won the lottery, have beaten City on a few occasions, before the Lottery, beat them practically every season home and away, so it is not completely unknown for Spurs to beat City.
4. Wigan beat City in a cup final, and Spurs are a lot, lot better a side than Wigan.
5. Arsenal recently beat City in a semi-final, and Spurs are a lot, lot better than any recent Arsenal side.
6. City have been beaten by both Leicester and Palace in the past couple of months, and Spurs are a lot, lot better than both of those sides.
I could go on, but I think you will get the gist. City are good, but they are not unbeatable. Spurs if they do reach the final, will have a more than decent chance of lift the trophy.

In response, having a chance in a 2 horse race is obvious and cannot be disputed. Indeed, you have a decent record against City so cannot be ruled out at all. However, this is not what I'm saying. What I don't get is the logic behind any of this.
It it possible although not likely that Spurs will defeat Chelsea and then City in the cup just as it was possible though not likely that a squad not strengthened in the Summer would win the title as you predicted.
Your predictions are simply not based on any sound judgement and are just what you'd like to happen rather than what is likely. For example, I could say that Arsenal will embark on a winning run and nab not only 4h spot but the Europa League. Possible? Yes, but in reality will it happen no.

Sorry Dan, I don`t quite get what you are getting at Football is not an exact science, I have given several reasons why Spurs have a chance. They have recently played both Chelsea and Man United, were completely outplayed by Chelsea and won, and completely outplayed United and lost. That is what happens in football, it is not always what you expect.
Spurs not strengthening in the summer would have absolutely no bearing on a off match over 90 minutes, where any of the two teams could win. We have seen it so many times where the best team on paper does not always win.
Not sure why you also would not think Arsenal could not finish 4th, if they are good enough they will. Form is only temporary. Anything could happen. Plenty of poor teams have turned it around second half of the season, and plenty of good teams have absolutely collapsed.
