Made Chase look like Warne and Murali in one.
England will win a test, likely to finish 2-1 either way
Just same old problems
How can a bit part spinner who can't spin the ball get eight wickets?
We were pathetic!
8 wickets for a part time bowler and 200 runs for a guy who can bat a bit. Only England
Warne career best 8-71
Chase got 8-60
Among established test teams, its only England that struggle in windies
I fail to see the point in selecting Rashid given we hardly ever bowl him, and Mo can no longer bat so is being selected for his spinning. Why are we playing both of them when Leach is the far better spinner who can actually tie up an end?
Drop Mo and Rashid for Broad and Leach and maybe Curran for Woakes. The batsman need a rocket up their @rse but i have no idea who can come in.
If the two at the top of the order are the best in county cricket we are in big trouble!
Seems like the bits and pieces players England expected to win them the game have instead worked for WI. A no8 scored 200 and a part time spinner picked 8 wickets.
Without taking any credit from WI, think they are a very improved test team over the last few years. Have won test matches in UAE, in England and now are also winning at home against quality teams.
I am totally disgusted with what we've seen here...the issues we had batting in summer were all brought back to bear again...and why we got the bowling line up so wrong is very questionable.
We move onto Antigua where some vast improvement must be seen
Is ramprakash still the batting coach....?
An area that needs looking at for me

They could bring in Denly for Jennings but I doubt if they will. I'm sure Jennings will play in the next Test. If he doesn't do anything there I would give Denly a go in the last one to see what he can do.
Jennings is safe for a min 4-5 more tests after that century against Sri Lanka.
What i don't get about Root is that he gives Rashid absolutely no confidence at all. He's meant to be the no1 spinner but he hardly ever bowls him. He's more of an after thought and that alone will mess up your confidence.
It's like oh i've tried everyone else might as well give Rashid a go now. Oh look he's been bashed around better take him out.
Just take him out the damn team if you don't want to bowl him. In fact take him and Alii out and play an actual spinner in Jack Leach.
Don't care what anyone says England got lucky against Indian. Winning every single toss and then Curran bailing them out.
The difference between an everage/poor captain and a proper one look no further than Root and Owen Morgan.
Denly will replace Jennings. Rashid dropped.
England 12-man squad for second Test v West Indies:
Rory Burns, Joe Denly, Jonny Bairstow, Joe Root (c), Jos Buttler, Ben Stokes, Moeen Ali, Ben Foakes, Sam Curran, Stuart Broad, Jimmy Anderson, Jack Leach.

Raining in Antigua....we're saved
Much prefer the option to sticking with Jennings, but Denly isn’t an opening bat. People try and say it’s the same, but it isn’t. Proven time and time again. Dravid a shining example.
That being said, I don’t see an option that shines out. I’d hoped stoneman would nail a spot down. Now rooting for burns. Still think Lyth has more than most.
Windies have won the toss and will bowl. Broad replaces Rashid.
Pitch is going to do bits
Both openers gone. Burns got a good ball, poor shot by Denly.
Openers didn't last too long..
2nd whelping coming in 3.5 days
You can play football on that pitch. Load of grass.
