Higuain won't be worth the money we'd have to pay for him

posted on 15/1/19

I would take Higuain, but he will be too expensive for Levy`s wallet.

More realistic in my opinion would be somebody like Timo Werner, we have been linked to him in the past and he scores 1 in 2 for club and country.

Think he'd flop in this league to be honest.

Disagree on Higuain. A) Too expensive even on a loan deal. Juve will insert a clause to buy at the end of the season. B) As soon as Kane is back he is no longer needed. Even when Son is back we don't need him. C) He isn't that good and will take a while to adjust to the prem.

CM and full backs still priority for me.

Juve?

But Higuain has already made it clear that he wants to cut short his loan at AC Milan from Juventus to join his former mgr Sarri at Chelsea ?

I thought he had agreed to join AC Milan following this season.

We need to clear someone out before bringing any non homegrown players in

If we can get him on loan until the end of the season I'd be pretty happy with that. As a permanent transfer we would have to pay way more than a 31 year old should cost and there is limited resale value so Levy would never go for it.

Well Levy has no choice to back Poch now.
Champions league qualification is in danger and the cost of that is more than the revenue it brings in. We have not secured a naming rights sponsor and not getting top 4 will have a huge impact.

I hope this will make Levy realise he has to spend some money in order to prevent our season collapsing. I would actually like to see some short term thinking like getting a striker or CM on loan to help us make top four this season.

Yes, but he`s young and with lots of potential, just as Levy likes them, you would think his value would only increase over time. Sooner or later Levy is going to have to start spending some proper money.

Ed, I know but still got to give my opinion

To be honest with you, I wouldn’t even criticise Levy for not doing it. It’d be a bad signing for Spurs. Though I’m not sure who else is out there that’d be attainable.

Don what’s the point in making an article that so clearly won’t happen

Signing Ibrahovic on loan for the MLS off season is probably more realistic. But still unlikely.

But we've been told by Spurs fans that their squad players are good enough to hell them win trophies, so Kane's injury shouldn't be a big deal.
