We are usually much better away from home, we can’t buy a win at the King Power right now. We’ll line up with 3 defensive midfielders, play like absolute shiiiit and hope to you hit you on the break. That’s how far we’ve come since the title win. You’ll be really impressed.......

Biggest game since the Bournemouth one this, took that one quite comfortably 2-0 but not convinced with this one, don't think we are playing particularly well.

torn on what our set up should be, like the 3-4-1-2 of late but wouldn't be opposed to going 3-4-3 either but whatever happens we have to show more intensity first half

Well we outplayed you last time and lost. This time I think we will outplay you and win.

Away from home we are a different team
Expect to see at least 3 formations and that could go to 5 formations depending on subs and injuries,
You'll wonder what's going on,much like most of the time we do
Formation could be 3 or 5 or 4 & 5 with wingbacks or 4 3 4 with floating midfield or 4411 4321 don't worry you'll see them all
And don't worry about striker's if vardy is fit he never gets the ball and if it's any of the other your fine they've not scored in years,
If you play like you did in Leicester 🤔
6-1 win

Hi Dubs. Hopefully the ref won't notice the extra man on the pitch when we play 4-3-4. Great idea if we can pull it off.

Small steps at this stage.

nuneaton - It's right. Dublin's so confident in us for this match that he's opting to play without a goalkeeper.

There have been times, quite recently, when I have thought the only way of us getting a result would be playing 4-4-3.

Disappointed that you didn’t use the term ‘Wolves return to Molineux to lick their wounds’ but non the less, another decent preview thread

Oldgoldilox - I'm more a fan of the 4-5-2 myself.

Really important run of games now for Wolves that will probably decide whether we finish in the top half of the league. Leicester, West Ham and Newcastle at home and Everton and Bournemouth away. Win 3 of those and we will be very well placed.

We will need the points because those 5 games are followed by the nigh impossible tasks of the reverse fixtures against Huddersfield and Cardiff

I deliberately left that out so that you could use it when you are carefully crafting the match thread

Hopefully we will go with Dendoncker at centre back as he looked really steady there given the circumstances Monday night.

Don't think it is a game for Saiss as Leicester's midfield generally seems quite negative. Saiss tends to slow the tempo too much, meaning we struggle to break down teams like this. If we go with three in midfield, I would go with Neves, Moutinho and MGW.

Personally though, I would play 3-4-3 with Neves and Moutinho with Adama on the right of the front three. Jota and Jiminez pretty much pick themselves. I think that midfield two will help us control at a higher tempo and if we can isolate Traore on the full back and get him running at players it might provide us with what we need to break teams down.

Normally I'd say Vinagre should be inn with a shout on the left, to help hold the width; but I think given we will be changing the defence with Boly out, it will probably best to go with Jonny who is much better defensively.

Patricio
Bennett..Coady..Dendoncker
Doc..Moutinho..Neves..Jonny
MGW
Jimenez..Jota

And tear 'em a new one

I'd personally go with Saiss replacing Body, Dendonker and Neves in the middle and keep Moutinho behind Jimenez and Jota.

For me, Traore has had enough chances to stake a starting place, but he's rarely delivered. Plus his goal count is dreadful, as it was when he was last in the Premiership. With his pace, I was hoping for better performances from him tbh.

Traore is improving bit by bit but is still nowhere near the finished article.
It's always amusing to bring him on second half though once Doc and Jimenez have worn their defenders out.

I would be happy to see the team you suggest tam/gem although mgw hasn’t really impressed in recent games and I think Nuno is now edging towards 352 as his preferred set up with Jota pushed forward alongside Jiminez.

If Saiss is going to play I would prefer to see him on the left of the defence rather than midfield and apart from Boly I would be happy to see the team that started at Man City.

So either that team or go for 343 with Traore or Costa on the right
