Thoughts on the likelihood of this happening and whether he could get back to his best under Emery in the Premier League?
Considering this would require us to sell Ozil, pay James big wages, and give him Europa football only... no chance.
I am not excited by the prospect of this guy joining Arsenal. He had a great tournament but that was 5 years ago and since then he hasn't set the world alight. I believe we could do better.

Is James becoming the next Frey/Malouda/Kalou? Pretty sure we get linked with him every window now.
Talented as James is, I'm quite certain he isn't what we need. Plus he just feels like the kind of player who wouldn't be any good in the PL.
He's amazing to watch and incredible technique but get the feeling he could be another Ozil with his attitude and overall contribution. Haven't watch much of him at club level though.

He's been to Madrid and Bayern what Pogba has been for United.

Pogba is the best returning midfielder in Europe's top 5 leagues this season (goals+assists) and he's played 90% of it under a manager he didn't like.
Pogba has been handled badly by the the sulky one. He's now showing his class.
I thought James was one of Bayern’s best players last season, no?
Not a chance we are signing him. This guy would want massive wages and there is no suggestion he’d thrive in the PL
Apparently he has started 5 games for Bayern this season and scored 3 goals. I also read that in his first season with Real Madrid he made La Liga team of the year and scored some important goals for them.
Would be a dream for me if he joined, i don't believe he has a bad attitude, i think he just needs to be at a club where he is the star attraction, not one of many like at Real Madrid or Bayern.
Unfortunately though like many of you say, seems unlikely.
In order for this to happen someone needs to take Ozil and his disgusting wages to free up funds.
Cant see it happening any time soon
Kroneke could invest some of his own money for funds but there is more chance of a rocking horse having a sh1t.
Mike Ashley has invested more in Newcastle than Kroenke has in Arsenal
