The only solution is a bigger ground.
Could also reduce away allocations, it’s far too big for most clubs.
The other “solution” when demand outstrips supply is for prices to rise.
Pricing out fans is not a solution, however I take your point.
Its something Bates would do, alienate a fan base.
Don't want us to rush into expansions that we can't afford. Cement ourselves in the PL before this kind of thing is done.
Lubo, how do you know we can’t afford it ?
Of course it’s a solution is basic economics, the only fans who will be priced out are the excess ones.
Alienating a fan base in my world is not a solution.
The fan base has been alienated for years by claims of having to pay Prem prices etc, they're still here and they're more loyal than ever.
It's simple economics, however much you might not like it, when demand goes up and supply does not increase, prices go up.
Yep, prices will increase massively, if with extra seats.
Yes and no Jonty
Have to be very careful pricing fans out of ER

I imagine that if we could then we could also afford the money to splash out on a winger, which doesn't appear to be the case.
If you added a fiver per ticket between now and end of season, do you think fans would be priced out and stop coming?
No Jonty, but fans remember being ripped off and eventually take action, just like I did and many others.
It’s a fine line.
At the moment we are top, playing well and possibly promotion, that won’t always be the case.
It’s more important to engage with the massive fan base than take them for a cash cow.
It’s not just about now.
