If the reason for sanctions is bringing the game into disrepute then I'm afraid the EFL are starting to have more and more of a case.

When news paper after newspaper continually has headlines about spying as a consequence of Bielsa's actions then that is the fuel for their fire.

And the more this is kept in the public domain and it is being discussed daily then one can easily see a disrepute charge coming and love it or hate it, Lampard is more of a darling figure to the English football authorities than Bielsa will ever be.

Actually I think Lampard looks a bit embarrassed about the whole situation - seems very twitchy and uncomfortable when asked about it post Bielsa's presser yesterday.

I don't think the EFL know what to do about it all.

I guess time will tell... but I'm more convinced then ever that Bielsa has played this one beautifully.

what's to "investigate"? - its all there in front of them. they may well try and find a way to punish us, but its going to be difficult for them as a lot now are siding with Beilsa... Pep and Posh included.

its really interesting... I do however wish that this would be dealt with swiftly as I don;t want it distract us from gaining promotion.

Tim Sherwood's comments on sky were very pre-Bielsa.. there are more and more coming out and siding with Bielsa.

I've seen plenty of pundits, players and managers come out and not necessarily support Bielsa but say it's a common place thing and not out of the ordinary. Just look at what Graham Potter has had to say on the matter.

The EFL are in a position where they can't put forward an excessive sanction just because it's Leeds, because parts of the footballing world are on our side. There would be a backlash and I think in many people's view we would be the victims.

If the spying was so insignificant, why was he doing it? Every team in the division will be calling Radz today to ask what MB did for their game with us. More complaints will be made. I love MB but I can't see how he can stay on.

Bielsa made that clear in his presentation. Basically, he showed that he had, say, 10 tonnes of info for each team, but that his own insecurity and anxieties led him to send spies out to pre-match training sessions 'just in case'. He got nothing new out of the spying, just comfort that he'd dotted every 'i' and crossed every 't'.

If you think Bielsa has to go, then you're spying on this board in the disguise of a Leeds fan and you ought to go too!

I've been disguised as a Leeds fan since 1970 so I have every right to be anxious and paranoid, Leedsfan. Our punishment for breaking the rules is always out of proportion to what we have done, or 'exemplary '. This goes right back to our 10 year ban from European football in the 70's. I know it is pointless worrying what those çretins in the FA will do, but when it comes to LUFC , it is never good , and all this publicity makes it more likely the FA will take an exemplary approach. How do you keep a cool head after 43 years disguised as a Leeds fan?
