Keepers can play for longer these days at the highest level so the long contract isn't as bad as signing a defender his age

Now let's get on the phone to Swansea next

agree side, lets get Dan James in, Brown and Bamford fit, and we're good to go....

did you see the folder about Dan James on Bielsas laptop yesterday during the presentation.

I think we might get serious about him now.

This signing got me a bit moist.

This is what happens when you have the greatest coach in the world at your club.

Top signing. Would have thought some PL clubs would have been interested. The most ambitious signing we've made in years.

World class manager, stadium packed, on TV more than most teams in the world, now a keeper from Real Madrid, top of the league and good value for it...like or loathe Leeds have been a joy this season.

Still work to be done, but my goodness is this sleeping giant twitching and flinching.

Mike... this feels a bit like a dormant volcano thats just started to hiss and rumble...

.....and that's just the entrees - wait till the main course -
Will make Krakatoa look like a duck f@rt!

exactly Wilko... seemed like we were hissing and rumbling politely at the beginning of last season, then it settled again... all was quiet.... the 4 - 1 win at Derby this season there was an almighty bang and a crash, but the locals just brushed it off...... the volcano has kept rumbling and rumbling and getting louder and louder..... once it blows... move the hell out the way

He will be 36 (nearly 37) when the contract runs out, effectively he has committed the rest of his career to playing for us. Big move for the the lad.
Been calling for some time for a decent keeper that can take us into the Premier League. Would expect a decent deputy to sign in the closed season.
Expect Saturday to be Bailey's last game between the sticks for some time.

If we go up then we won't need to sign a keeper.

Would have thought Kiko will come straight in on Saturday???

Needs time to develop a relationship with Coops and Pontus, reckon his first game will be against Rotherham but wouldn't be surprised if you are right Afridi.

A class goalkeeper could earn us an extra 10+ points between now and the end of the season.

Never a dull moment at this magnificent club of ours

Great to have a new keeper in. I’m not as overwhelmed by the fact we’ve signed real’s third choice keeper as some. The fact he’s surplus to requirements there, doesn’t mean his best days are behind him, but it could do. We’ll find out soon enough.

Be shocked if he starts Saturday.

Who knows whether he’ll save us points... presuming he’s first choice I certainly hope so, but for all BPF made mistakes they very rarely cost us anything... some luck in that certainly.

Anyway sensible signing on paper, good credentials and plenty of experience... hopefully someone bpf can learn from... let’s see how he takes to the championship.

Third choice keeper he might be but there isn't that many keepers in the world who would be anything but when your first and second are Courtois and Navas.

Great news.

On a separate note, I hope Messiah slept well after all that.

Never really took to Casilla myself, but he did well at Espanyol. At his best he was a decent enough backup for us, and at some point had people calling for him to take over from Navas (not that I was ever one of them).

I hope he does well for you, and wish Leeds well in general for the rest of the season.
