OAP's should have to justify why they aren't subjected to involuntarily euthenasia every two years or so.

Prince Phillip has just had a brand new Land Rover delivered to Sandringham to replace the one he wrecked yesterday.

As someone alluded to earlier, it needs reins instead of a steering wheel.

That old caaant is back on the road again. He’s got facking chauffeurs! If he causes an accident that hurts someone, I hope the royals are taken to the cleaners in court.

No reason for him to be driving. None.

An absolute disgrace. I just saw the BBC article saying he wasn't wearing a belt and also quotes from the woman who broke her wrist in the accident.

PRINCE PHILIP SHOULD BE HARVESTED FOR PLANT FERTILISER.

its obvious he was at fault for the accident. pulling out onto the main road

I was walking down the road near me the other day which has a 50mph speed limit. It was quiet at the time and then coming round the corner was a load of backed up cars behind this one very slow moving car with an old lady in it. I had to laugh, she was doing no more than 30.

Most of my frustrations on the road these days stem from elderly or older drivers.

Agreed. Driving too slowly for fast roads, epic hesitancy driving like drunk, tunnel vision style driving. Need to up the checks on them, no self assessment, a full test is needed.

And strip that old tax dodger of his license.

More evidence that old git should be nowhere near a car steering wheel, read the description of the crash;

I was walking my dogs today and an old lady drove past slowly.

About 2 mins later, a young guy came flying past - clearly breaking the speed limit and showing no regard for the residential area he was in.

I know which group of drivers worries me the most.

The old people. Clearly she was driving so slow that he had to take a risk in overtaking.

Bloody old drivers. A menace they are.

He was starting his overtake early, she was a couple of minutes away in a different road!

Old v young an example; heading towards a roundabout that you can see traffic on all directions (ie no obstructions).

Young person- slows slightly, checks right and left as they approach, realise no traffic either direction so don’t have to slow down. This keeps the traffic flowing well.

Old person- tunnel vision, doesn’t check either direction. Stops dead, despite no traffic on roubdabout. Then checks left and right. Slows everything down. Needlessly.
