give milner a one year deal.

henderson is also a miss from your list as we signed him up last September til 2023

You've missed TAA i think he is due a deal his runs to 2021?

Thats the first 11 covered bascially plus a couple subs.

We need to look at:

reserve GK:
Reserve Full back
Reserve CBS (matip and lovren won't last imo)
reserve forwards are a huge gap.

Whilst long term contracts are important, it doesn't mean much in terms of whether a player stays. Didn't cout have 4 plus years left? If a player wants out, they leave. The key thing is winning trophies.

Sure.. but a longer contract means a bigger transfer fee I guess

Liverpool are definitely moving in the right direction although I still think squad depth is an issue for them in the short term.

Would be interesting to see what happens if Barcelona or Real Madrid come knocking for Salah in the Summer

That said, staying at Liverpool is now much more desirable than it may have been 3-4 years ago. Enough to turn down a move to Barca or Real though?

All speculation of course but Interesting times ahead.

He’s contracted till June 2021, I’m sure he’ll be signed up in the next 6 months!

Think we can still strengthen the squad, we need an experienced GK for back up (one who is happy to be a back up), another centre back, right back but the biggest gap in our squad is our forwards.

After our front 3, we have very little else to replace them without moving players from their preferred positions.

It helps to drive up the asking price. I think Edwards is doing a great job with negotiations and if another club comes in for our players we will command high fees like we did with Couts.

If Sturridge goes we will defo buy a striker. I think Origi needs to go as well.

contracts are fine...

they are protecting assets.

it's player hunger, desire and ability that's crucial.

with respect to sturridge he's been a millstone round our necks for 4 years. on the other hand coutinho and square new contracts probably generated 100mil plus in fees for 6 months of higher wages.

salah deserves every penny. his wage is irrelevant to him. he wants records and trophies.

not sure about firmino. I hope he is the same.

some players we have seen them just settle the instant contract is signed

I think some players could look at hw Coutinho’s move has planned out and have a good think about it.
