What perceptions?? He was talking nonsense as his Chelsea side were given the due credit for winning that game. Us ( Manchester united) fans would be hypocrites to condemn any team for playing shii* and winning a final. After all, we were completely battered by Bayern in 1999 and went on to win. I do not particularly think we played well at all in that 2018 FA cup final. He clearly does.
He brought in 10 players...10! Of those 10 the only one you'd say was a success under his management is Zlatan. He moans about not being backed, he brought in a 50m cm in the summer and he is dross, no wonder the board didn't want to waste any more cash.

I actually watched the 1999 CL final again from start to finish recently.
We definitely were not 'battered'. It was a pretty scrappy match overall; Bayern did have the better chances, obscured somewhat by a flurry of one or two very good ones in the second half, but other than that it was a pretty even and hard fought contest.
Beckham, by the way, was superb in the middle of the park, as he was against Spurs in the FA Cup final when Keane went off injured.
