Unless fans and the club are just happy with top 4 challenge every season and that’s it. Then fine, the current business module works. If the club want to move forward winning trophies, then they need to start putting down a marker in the transfer market and not go summer windows not signing a single player.

I get this. I think that the club probably wanted Llorente out in the summer or now. Didnt happen then. Can't happen now.
The thing i keep coming back to is that if there is a Jesus equivalent out there then i think we will show ambition. we may not spend £80m on Bale, but we might spend £30-40m on "the next Bale". That can be successful and if you look at City they bought Sterling aged 21, Sane aged 20 and Jesus aged 18. You can add John Stones (22)
That is the model we will try and emulate. They have the funds to add 4 x £50m defenders plus £60m on Mahrez plus Gundogan (£20m) & Silva II (£45m) to warm their bench. We cannot compete with that but really we just need 2 or 3 signings to add to the quality thats there.
The club and Poch do not just want Top 4, but top 4 is the bottom line. Poch prioritises the biggest trophies, but our progress towards that will be steady and planned, not a £150m splurge on 4 new players, and especially not before we off load the deadwood than needs replacing.

Firstly you compare us with city have you taken into account that they are 100 times richer than us.
Secondly you are willing to tell us what should have been done pre season and also to tell us what we are willing to settle at but you will not take into account the fact that Levy has been great for this club financially.
He has somehow built the best stadium in the country whilst also making sure that every manager we have had over the last 10 years has been able to buy very good players, not world beaters no but capable.
The fact that managers have wasted money on the likes of Bentley and Darren Bent is not his fault.
Lastly you go on about we are willing to settle for top 4 etc where you want to win the premiership etc.
SO DO WE but we are also adult enough and experienced enough to know that without a sugar daddy to inject untold cash into THFC that we need to be patient.
Levy has given us a very good manager, he has allowed us to sign very good players and he has built a wonderful stadium.
I am very sorry that its not happened fast enough for you but at the moment all I can see is extremely steady progress in the RIGHT direction and I trust both Levy and Poch to continue that progress WITHOUT panicking and wasting time and money with rash signings all because fans like you want everything to happen today and cry their eyes out when they dont get instant success.

Firstly you compare us with city have you taken into account that they are 100 times richer than us.

The simple fact remains that since Lewis ENIC and levy, the club has made absolutely huge strides on and off the pitch. This is indisputable and therefore your post is way too harsh.
Isn’t levy our least successful chairman trophy wise?

If I had a big criticism of Levy its been his managemtn appointments.
Ok Redknapp at the time was a good move and obviously Poch has done well but Ramos, AVB, Sherwood to name but 3.
Obviously the stadium is the jewel in his crown but he seems to have always made funds available to managers to improve our squad even if some of it was self financed as in the Bale money.
Some of our managers have made some dreadful errors with signings for sure
It’s an aside but the brand of “Tottenham hotspur” is now truly global. Which is necessary in this day and age if we want to be in amongst the top sides

But I would just point out that I have been a Spurs supporter since the great 1950 club.
And I intend to remain so.
But I would just like to see them win something else before I die.
This was a season when at the beginning we had a good chance of going far in the Champions League.
Had the squad been strengthened before the beginning of the season we might not be in the threadbare position we now are.
We must now hope that some players get back from injury before the Dortmund matches in order to have much of a hope of winning them.
If you are happy with this situation then you are in a better position than I am.
Because I am totally unhappy with our current situation, and I blame the club management for it.
