Serious point.

Maybe he was just trying to even up the dodgy 2nd one?

3 out of the 5 were pens.

So he got 2 right and 3 wrong.

the first one and the one that wasn't given were penalties, the rest weren't

a suppose you could say he got the handball one right because he gave a free kick and was over ruled by the assistant

posted on 4/2/19

Still not 100% convinced the handball wasn't in the box. Regardless the assistant referee said it was in.

The Defoe one was never a pen. He isn't even trying to go down or claim.

The rugby tackle contact continues into the box and the boy also pulls candeias shorts once in the box. Definite pen.

I would say he got 2.5 right and 2.5 wrong

Clark’s just playing to the masses so he gets the gig once Brendan chucks it. He’s not daft

Kilmarnock manager Steve Clarke has once again called for consistency in refereeing and the disciplinary process after a weekend of controversy.

Clarke said he saw a lack of uniformity in decision making and believes a diving incident from Rangers' 4-0 win over St Mirren should be subject to retrospective punishment.

Rangers were awarded four penalties in the match with many observers saying Jermain Defoe had thrown himself down to win his side their second spot kick.

Clarke said referee Andrew Dallas got the big calls wrong at Ibrox and said in his own game on Friday night there was a mistake where an assistant referee got an offside call wrong by a remarkable margin.

"You sit here on a Monday after a weekend where everyone talks about referees," he said.

"Consistency of refereeing. One player runs to the crowd yesterday to celebrate a goal and gets a yellow card. One player runs to the crowd to celebrate a goal and doesn't get a yellow card.

"Five penalty decisions in one game... one correct, four wrong.

"There was an offside decision in our game on Friday night. Insignificant. It wasn't in a dangerous position, it was given offside by the East Stand linesman. Three metres onside. Three metres. That's the side of this desk or more.

"Has he been pulled up about it? Has he been shown it? Has he been told that it was wrong? Probably not. He probably doesn't even know it's a mistake.

"It has to be sorted."

Clarke has been vocal before about the standard of officials and the disciplinary process, receiving a notice of complaint for his comments in the past. Asked how he felt about the continuing controversy, he admitted to being fed up with seeing inconsistency.

He alluded to Defoe's penalty again and suggested the player should get the same punishment as Jordan Jones did earlier in the season.

Clarke said: "[Exasperated is] a good word. I think I find myself increasingly disappointed.

"Nothing's being done to address it. Nothing.

"One of our players was suspended for two games for going to ground too easily earlier in the season. There was a media furore. A witch hunt against the player.

"Nothing on the same scale from Saturday's game between Rangers and St Mirren. Nothing.

"Hopefully the compliance officer will do her job. It doesn't affect us. I'm not particularly advocating but i just want consistency.

"So if our player gets a two week ban then I look forward to seeing what happens this week."

Good to see hermfokned Weah not being booked as well. I’m surprised with all the ref consistency stiff the bhoys on here haven’t made more of that.

Isn’t the rule if you leave the pitch to celebrate?

he's correct though regarding Defoe, he should receive retrospective action the same as Jones did

also I agree aswell with IE despite my reasoning behind it, he cant book one and not the other, the law is if you leave the field of play

Didn't an English ref book someone down south as a tribute for someone that died as well.

The rule needs to be looked at.

I'm convinced the taking the top off one was after Diego Forlan took off that Man United tap that had the netting inside and it took him 6 minutes to get it back on
