By the way, we also need a recognition that the linesmans job is the hardest in football. You've got to be able to look at two places at the same time and make split second judgements on fractions.
We slaughter them because slow motion replays show that the attackers big toe was offside and we can't believe they missed it.
I'm becoming more and more in favour of going to a 'clear daylight' rule between the players. That should make their jobs easier and give the advantage to the attacking team.

Does Tom, sorry juke want foreign refs or neutral refs?

Eh?
Nah Icany, the one official I won't slaughter is the linesman.. thankless task and I'd argue a near impossible job we ask of them. It's amazing they actually call so many offsides etc correctly.

Tom paranoiac Boyd was calling for “neutral” refs from abroad.
Silver-he was in a terrible position to call the offside.

Ref's should be chosen in the same way as a jury for a trial. From a pool of ex pro's. Providing more numbers to draw from. Can only be admitted where qualified to do the job so will need to train for it. A minimum fitness should be a requirement of the job. AS should an eye test to prove they can see. The uniform has specsavers sponsorship logos ffs.
we had refs from outside the country before
Celtic dropped 2 points due to a perfectly good goal being ruled out by a non scot non mason (he might have been a proddy though)
They lost the league marginally that season.
While 22 guys cheat refs will make mistakes
And it happens all over not just Scotland.

And if you’re Wullie Collum you can also ‘hear’ things even if you are not looking in the same direction of play 😂
