Sunderland till I die

I loved the optimism of the fans before they played Celtic.

“3-4 nil, easy”
“Smash a few past them to start the season well”

5-0 Celtic. They were raging

But as the season goes on. It just gets more bleak. Great series, felt bad for Sunderland fans, half that team were mercenaries, Roswell the worst of the lot.

They gave Rodwell the contract so I thought it was a bit silly when the club started trying to act all high and mighty when he wouldn’t leave and play for less money.

I thought the same. Why they didn’t insert any relegation clause was baffling.

6th most successful English Club ever above both Chelsea and City. Not bad

Jack Rodwell biggest Kant in the world. Earning £70k a week for doing sh.t all.

And what exactly would you do in his position? I know I would do exactly what he did and stay earning my money rather than cancelling my contract and be earning feck all with no club.

As for the documentary. Yes it was very good, they are making another one this year

It would have been better if they had more behind the scenes footage of the dressing room, but totally get why managers wouldn’t want it.

I thought it was a good series but did find it was the Martin Bain show occasionally.

I enjoyed aspects of it, but agree that it was limited by what they could show. Also it was clearly edited in a way that framed certain people as heroes and others as villains.

I agree somewhat with Manc regarding Rodwell. Why should he agree to not being paid when all parties agreed to this?

Should’ve had one focussing on us this season, contrast between the first half of the series with Jose and behind the scenes atmosphere to the end of the series when Ole is in charge and we’re collecting the CL and FA cup double

Swap that for pretending to be with his dogs and it'll probably be accurate

Bet he facetimes his dogs on the team coach/plane etc on away games, no wonder he seems to have no mates.

Whilst I agree with the sentiments about Rodwell in terms of why should he leave and cancel his contract - he should also have made an effort to get himself fit to play - unprofessional in my view to not turn up to training etc.

Believe he has now moved on anyway but I can't remember where he is playing.

On the documentary itself it was absolutely tragic - really felt for the fans in that situation but from the owners perspective he really had plowed good money after bad staying the Premier League for the years before that.

Agree with the guy confronting Chris Coleman - totally professional manager and it wasn't necessary.

He's at Blackburn, I believe.
