Spygate decision expected today

Typical

We'll be punished in the harshest way possible and the media and alcoholic/wife beating pundits will dig it all back up again.

Let's hope we show some resilience tomorrow.

Reckon we’ll get a fine and Beilsa will get some kinda of a ban for a few games

Points deduction impossible.

Something that shouldn't have needed "investigating" and if it wasn't fat franks team it probably wouldn't have received the attention it has, slap on the wrist and an explanation to MB that it's not the way it's done in the English Leagues <tongueincheek smiley> was all that was needed.

If they do anything such as a points deduction then..

- They need to strip Chelsea of several PL titles (they spied)
- Wengers FA Cup wins/other wins should be reviewed and questioned as he used to spy
- Fergusons Man U successes should also be potentially recalled as he was identified as spying.

A fine or match ban for MB I can live with, anything else and the FA will be receiving a stern letter.

Harvey said Bielsa not actually broken any rules, so hard to see any sort of tangible punishment, am expecting a statement expressing disappointment re abiding to spirit of rules and then coming up with some draft proposal for new rules.

Best, any other team and this would've been sorted during the week after. They would've looked at their own rule book, determined no rule was there to base punishment on, and therefore slapped that team's wrist.
Then implemented a new rule to cover future incidents.

But for us, nah. Grandstand for a few weeks. Let the media sharks feast on chum. Then find a loophole to fine us, ban Messiah for 4 weeks, oh and deduct points.

Then when we challenge that ruling as being
without merit per their own rules, they'll threaten to
take our golden share.

What should happen is, a reminder/reprimand for MB.
And the announcement of a new rule: if you don't build a solid screen around your training ground you'll only have yourself to blame.

Anyone think we may need to bring back the Master as a consultant to fight this?

Nah, me neither!

Not worried about it at all.

They cant fine him as he wasn't actually there physically and its not against any rules. They just need to keep giving us bent officials if they wish to halt our progress.

The reason is obvious, we are as is widely rumoured facing a ten point deduction & the club have been made aware. They wish to keep it from the players & fans before the Boro game but of course it has to come out sometime & Monday prior to what is seen as a more winnable game against Swansea is sensible.

FFS

Statement from the EFL - says further investigation into 'Spygate' is necessary and will take place "at the earliest opportunity". No decision on whether Leeds United will face any charges/punishment.

At its meeting on Friday afternoon, the EFL Board (*excluding representatives of the Championship) considered the matter of the incident in the vicinity of Derby County’s training ground on Thursday, January 10.

Following a comprehensive review of all available evidence, it was determined that there remain a number of areas that require further exploration and clarification and these investigations will take place at the earliest opportunity.

An update on this matter will be provided following receipt and analysis of those subsequent enquiries and until this point no further comment will be made.

Translation, we'll see how many points above 7th Leeds finish and give them a deduction that drops them to that.
