We can joke all we like about what we think BS, but the cold hard facts are that Puel’s last 10 results are relegation form.

He needs to find a way of turning decent performances in to winning ones.

The next two games will be crucial for him now.

Oh here we go

We have played Liverpool, Spurs and United. Shakespeare got nothing from those figures. Not a single point. We’ve been in every game - and as most people with any kind of football knowledge know, of the performances are there then the points tend to follow.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Shakespeare also got sacked BS

Because he also couldn’t beat Huddersfield and got done 6-1 at home against Spurs, playing the same brand of kick and rush that you want to see so much. Hardly the same is it?

Puel on RL now (paraphrasing); Vardy might not score that goal if he isn't fresh, Vardy lacked a clinical edge in previous games.

I guess not BS. Because Puel’s team rolled over Cardiff and Southampton, Wolves, Palace and, erm Newport.

But you’re right, hardly the same.

We can debate our performances BS, but on results, there is no argument. We’re in relegation form.

The next two games are vital. Win both and it was just a tough run of fixtures. Lose or draw both and we’re in a relegation scrap.

You may think we’re moving forwards, and to some extent I agree that our performances are improving. Tielemans looks like he could be the vital link to our attack. But results suggest we are going backwards. If Puel continues to make big decisions like dropping Vardy (for whatever reason), he puts himself even more in the firing line.

That’s the short termism kicking in again Mersey. Why do you think Puel is still here despite those set backs? Because the club understand there’s a rebuilding to do. One that focuses on youth. A project that’s just started. Or did you not notice the state of the art training ground that’s being built? The large summer outlay focussed on bringing young players who aren’t the finished article?

The most brilliant thing about your posts are the fact you’re set to be so hopelessly disappointed by wanting Puel out next week

Because the difference between me and you is that Ive actually done some research on the what the club decided to do when Shakespeare left his role and the realisation that, like when Pearson came back in 2011, there was a need to start again. To rebuild.

The moment you declared this to be Peter Taylor mk2 is the moment you lost all credibility on here and if I’m honest became a bit of a joke

I thought it was a much more encouraging performance today. We were actually creating chances, and good chances. The finishing wasn’t good enough too often and Vardy confirmed my belief that you shouldn’t take a penalty with your first touch, but that’s far better than not creating.

We have to replicate that in the next two matches now; no stupidity with team selections, no cleverness with formations, no Morgan, no Mendy, just get out there with intent and make them stop you.

Yep, pretty much agree.

Try to stick with a plan now. I’d possibly drop Ghezzal for Choudhury, but having that consistency I think is key as we head into the latter part of the season.

I think this in turn will allow plays to become more comfortable and confident and express themselves much more. It’s very difficult to do this with so much chopping and changing - even if it is with good intentions.

Yes, and score 1st for christ sake

I thought gezzle did well today and deserves the first half next game

posted on 10/2/19

I think in my head it’s more thinking about formation in terms of dropping Ghezzal moving forward .

And also, he’s foreign.

Also slightly offended you think I’m stupid and know nothing about our club and that your research means I’m clueless.

But I’ll suck that one up

I’m aware of what our plan is. I just don’t beleive Puel is the right man to lead it.

The moment you likened our current situation to Peter Taylor then yep I believe you just lost complete credibility. This is so far removed from Taylor I just can’t see you how could reach such a conclusion.

Now i didn’t say you were stupid, but I don’t think you u derstabd the plan the club has based on the fact that you just won’t listen or even entertain the other side of this argument. It’s honestly like debating with Nev at times.

Like many Leicester fans - you mistakenly always think The issue is with the manager and that if we change the manager then everything’s going to be fine. This is classic not seeing the wood for the trees

We need to replicate the effort and the attacking prowess, but if the players continue to finish like that Dunge then we won’t be picking up maximum points in the next two games against teams that will defend deep. That was awful finishing today

Its a comparison BS.

Trophy winning team, ageing but quality squad, new manager comes in and loses the dressing room. Sells a few big names and brings in his players. Loses in the cup to minnow. Goes on a slide with the dressing room looking like they’re not playing for him. Dissenting voices speaking up about him.

It’s just making the list k between a manager who took on a squad and lost them.

Now, if we go back and read CONTEXT in my posts, I also say that we have a hugely stronger squad that should be enough to keep us out of trouble. However in the summer, if we lost 2-4 key players (Maguire, Vardy, Maddison) and we recruited poorly, we’d have a much weaker squad that I think could be at serious risk of relegation.

Now, if people other than you think that that makes me a joke then fine. I think it’s a fairly reasonable comparison to make.

Do I believe Puel is as bad a manager as Taylor, of course not. Nobody in the world is (maybe Martin allen!)...

To be fair Black Starr, Mersey has literally just said he understands the plan but doesn’t agree that Puel is the man to implement it successfully. This is just simply a different opinion to yours.
