Results without our best 2 players

Don, it is a testament to the squad really, how good it is, that despite having all the best players missing for long periods, they are just a few points of the all conquering Liverpool and City with a game in hand over City.

Clearly Spurs are stumbling over the line in a lot of matches, but it is a results based business, so how you win, not matters one iota.

I still think Spurs can have one final push for the title, if they are there or thereabouts with half a dozen games to go.

It is so annoying though that Poch allowed Spurs to lose two cup games in four days, and also get beaten by a woeful Chelsea side after leading from the first leg.

From an offside goal.
Give it up!

i think we're the 3rd best team in the league by a considerable distance in both directions.... not much else to say. All that matters now is what we are allowed to do in the summer. Another period of doing nothing and i imagine we'll get overtaken again

Yes we are muddling through at the moment, just doing enough to get the points, but that is understandable with all the disruption from injuries etc and playing every game away from home.

But we are also earning all we get, I can`t remember a single game changing moment of luck going our way this season, we`ve not had the pleasure of any offside goals or gifted penalties etc, unlike some of our rivals.

And we`ve still not had a PL penalty at Wembley, our last home penalty in the PL was April 2017, at WHL.

And a testament to how well Poch is doing, wouldn't you say Sandy?

I would say the team mate, not Poch. It is the team on the pitch, not the manager.

Think dementia setting in with old sandy. Needs taking to the vets for a 'sleep'.

Of course you would. The manager doesn't deserve any credit for this.

I didn`t say he didn`t deserve any credit, but if he going to be given credit for winning prem games, then he also has to be called out for losing cup games. You cannot have it both ways.

I think he is up there mate, he gets a lot of important goals, and the team does not play nearly as fluently when he is absent.

Yeah but you've had the hump with him ever since the cup loss. Time to move on from that.

I will move on when Poch delivers a trophy. Until then he is on his 5th year of probation.

Alli has not been among your "2 best players" for quite a long time. Stop kidding yourself. Eriksen has always been more influential as your key playmaker, and Son has been superior over the last 2 seasons. Does Alli do anything these days other than score a few headers?

Dele is very influential. Dele is absolutely essential to the Spurs best XI.

A MOTD football fan. Hi pal. Dele is absolutely crucial to how we play with his movement in to space. You enjoy your MOTD though. Simple football for simple minds. Catchy theme tune though.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

By a considerable distance? Really? You think you're a "considerable distance" away from Man U or even Chelsea? As I see it, Spurs have gone on a weird run this season right from their opening victory against Newcastle where you seem to have ground out a points total that have flattered your performances. You're certainly far behind the top 2 - as your goal difference exposes how much your results flatter you - but you're certainly not far ahead of Man U or Chelsea.

That’s not Leicester at their very best Our finishing was atrocious today and we gifted you two goals. At the end of the day this is a young developing side - we are shipping out the title winners and building a new project, so it’s far from the best Leicester can be.

We just weren’t clinical today and it cost us dearly.

His being essential is not the point. I didn't say he isn't essential. The point is I have watched tons and tons of your matches and Dele Alli is far from being among your top 2 most influential players. Many of you here criticize him and his performances ALL THE TIME. Why suddenly pretend like you lost Ronaldo just because he is injured?

Whether he is crucial with his movement or not, what does that have to do with my disputing the claim that he is among your top 2 influential players? Based on what? His playmaking? His creativity? His goal return? What is this great thing that makes him your 2nd best player?

Spurs are considerably better than both United and Chelsea as it stands, have been one of the top three Prem clubs for the past four seasons. Don`t let your agenda against Spurs get in the way of facts.
