Got a bad feeling about this.

I really hope it’s something of nothing.

I suspect he feinted given he was supposedly back on his feet and ok in the dressing room. Remember the lad was knackered after coming on for his debut for 10 minutes. Nervous energy. He's not only been thrust into the first team. Hes got the pressure of performing in a wide area we are sadly lacking. Last couple of games hes been noticeably poor.

I have gone light headed a fair few times this season. On one hand its superb to be involved at the right end of the table, on the other its quite emotional and the games stay with you much longer. Its far easier supporting a team with Michael Brown, Wootton and Pugh in it where you have zero expectations and switch off 10 minutes after a game.

My immediate concern is that this could be an underlying heart problem. Similar to that of James Taylor the cricketer. Or Fabrice Muamba. I have no basis at all to think this is what it is. But no info has been given and if it is then that’s his career over. Really hope it’s nothing serious.

To be honest that was my first thought too, that it was going to be a heart ting.

I'm just hoping that everything comes back for a, not for the club but for the lad himself, I'd imagine he is probably really worried about it at the moment so the sooner he can get the all clear the better

that's been my thoughts/fear since hearing about it on Saturday and the (admittedly limited) descriptions since. Whatever happens, and football really is secondary in all thoughts, it's what's best for Jack that can only be the priority.

Feeling dizzy/faint and recovering quickly with some immediate oxygen/first aid, can also be a sign of lack of nourishment - did he have breakfast pre-match. I'm sure the players are well disciplined pre-match, but has he skipped it at all?

All guesswork and supposition. I just hope the lads okay.

Just exactly what kind of demented bonehead gives an article highlighting concern for a young man's heath and well-being a 1 star rating???

You might want to qualify your rating by coming out from behind your keyboard and making yourself known.

Utterly shameful.

really hope its nothing more serious, the lad is a real talent - he reminds me of brooks at Bournemouth - i'd love to see what he could do in the PL with us next season

It could be serious but I’m sure he would still be in hospital if it was.

Heart was my first thought and Bielsa was my very first thought until I found out who it was (We were on the bus with only the wife’s non LUFC friendly phone with us).

Now I’m thinking it might have just been something like a low sugar level or something similar.

My wife collapsed on holiday after having a dodgy tummy and not eating for a couple of days. She felt a little better so we went out and had a latte and a sticky bun. We think the sugar hit just made her faint. She’s been fine since.

Worrying but he’s in the best of hands.

I wish this site, like other social media platforms, removed the anonymity of this stuff. Usernames linked to ratings, plus like/dislike for posts would be a good thing. No more hiding behind your thoughts.

Moronic and shameful.

I’m uncomfortable with some suggesting it’s a serious health problem. Just give the young man time to get well and send our best wishes.

I specifically didn't want to speculate myself too much in public on the cause, just great to see that attention was swift and helpful, that Pulis said the right thing (some would have bemoaned the delays) and that, most importantly, Jack Clarke is up and about and in one piece.

Yes - Pulis went up slightly in my estimation with his comments.

Hopefully just a wobbly moment for Clarke after exhausting himself. It does raise questions about the lad's lack of stamina though if it was just a blood-sugar level issue. Other youngsters play the full 90 without a problem.

I hope it's not a serious underlying problem for him.

It's very possible to feel faint after running hard, add on the anxiety and pressure of the level of the game and his age. I'm sure he'll be fine.

Get well Jack!

Of course, we noticed something was amiss in the stadium but too far away to even know who it was.

posted on 11/2/19

I'm sorry but unless there are indications Jack Clarke has a serious condition, can we just send him our best wishes and not second-guess whether he was under-nourished or whether he had breakfast that morning.

posted on 11/2/19

You not sent him flowers and best wishes then Lorra?

posted on 11/2/19

I hear rumours of low blood sugar - does he suddenly have diabetes type 1 ? Hope he'll be fine, he's such a great player. People with DT1 manage well. Still we don't really know what happened.

I read this on Not606:

“The 18yo has been told to rest for a week following breathing problems during the latter stages of the Boro game on Saturday...”

posted on 12/2/19

I'm willing to stand corrected but isn't this just a young man who was taken ill with something that nothing more than a good meal and rest will cure? Stop pampering the poor guy or we'll never get him back on the pitch this season.
