Chronic, I was thinking may only be three or four points, these are the games that Spurs with a weakened side are notorious at messing up. So well pleased with a maximum return.
The Burnley game is huge mate because City play that weekend in the league cup final and Liverpool play United at old Trafford. Massive opportunity for us.
Given our injuries, we really can't complain. You do wonder where we'd be even if we'd had 25% less injuries than what we've had over the season.
Edbo, you wonder where we would be had Spurs invested a bit of money mate. I know I keep banging on about it, but this could of been the difference had we got some extra quality in last summer.
Great points return and shown real character in the process. I have no idea what to think the rest of the way re results or team selection. I'm not sure much has changed other than the fact we have become better at grinding out results when not playing well (which should be applauded). I still don't think this team is capable of winning at Anfield or City (so that's the league gone). I wouldn't be surprised if we beat or lost to Dortmund (no question they are a good side) and I have no idea how sharp Kane & Dele will come back. Both needed a rest but Kane especially takes a bit of time to get up to speed after injury (mainly because he pushes himself too hard and we're not in a position to hold him back.
At this point just enjoying the ride.... Poch may as well just play whoever is fit and see how far this momentum will take us... Fun times, pretty limited downside from here
Time to sit back enjoy & watch Chelsea disintegrate again
When I said that the Leicester match was a banana skin you disagreed. Now you agree?

Did I? I expected Spurs to win, they usually do beat Leicester, but we also know these are the sort of games Spurs can easily lose. To be honest, Leicester should have won yesterday, Spurs dodged a bullet.

Three away games, including Chelsea, plus Arsenal at home in our next four games. Come out of those games with nine points then I reckon a title push is going to be really on the cards.

I think United will beat Liverpool but I don't think it makes any difference... Reckon City will win the league by 3-6 points. Their squad is just too good. Just hope Spurs can carry on this character and maybe get decent results at Anfield, City & the Bridge... a couple of draws would show real signs of progress

We won't beat Burnley, let's be honest any chance we get to take a massive opportunity we Spurs it up.
Dele boy, that’s why we definitely won’t win the league.
Many of the so called pundits had our last 3 points haul at 5, 1 win and 2 draws. 9 points, while not being exactly massive given the opposition, is still a fantastic achievement given the injuries to two of our most influential players. That halfwit Lawro went into great detail why he thought Spurs would falter only to be made to look a furburger once again. Wednesday will be a massive game for sure.
We won't win the league because we're not as good as City and Liverpool. Nothing to do with not taking chances when we have them. We're already over achieving in the league.
should be beating both arsenal and Chelsea
This season has strangely felt like a negative one for us but yet here we are with our best points haul, sitting comfortably in the top 3 with a shot at the title.Let's not forget that we managed to to qualify from the Champs league group stages against the odds!
We have to play 4 of the top 5 in the run-in but it's nice to have things in our own hands for once.
I agree we are not as good as Liverpool or City and that will show unfortunately when we play them away. But we just got to keep plugging away.

with Kane and Alli back, assuming no more injuries then we can defo beat both in a one off game.
out of interest, have salah mane firminho or vvd had any injuries this season? their 4 key player fit all year ffs
No I don’t think they have mate. Liverpool have been very fortunate with injuries to key players.

you are so right, it was very important to refresh the squad a great opportunity missed and will haunt us when we loose players at the end of this season
I think we can agree that we are in with a chance of winning the league, numbers don't lie, but the likelihood probably favours City / Pool. Personally, I couldn't care less what the media says but whatever we do, it will be with deep pockets, playing away every week and so on. To me its got a bit of Roy of the Rovers about it.
As for Wednesday Sandy, my lad and I have our tickets and quite frankly, given our next game will be 10 days away, Poch has to play his strongest team, it pretty much picks itself imo.

I see what you're saying, but it only feels negative if you let it feel that way.
Most fans would say the 16/17 season was the best in recent history. If you judge everything in proper context, arguably we are having a better season than 16/17 when we came 2nd and finished with 86 points. That season we dropped out of the CL Groups and went out in the last 32 of the Europa. The least we'll get this time is last 16 of the CL.
We were also, from my memory, never this close to Chelsea in the chase for the title as we are to Pool/City now. After 26 games in 16/17, we'd won 15 games with 53 points. This season we've won 20 games with 60 points.
Having not spent a penny in the summer and January, and playing at Wembley instead of WHL, we're actually having quite an incredible season I'd say.
