Kane is already ahead of Liverpool legends Fowler and Owen.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Owen a legend??He wasn't even close to a legend before he left for Madrid let alone the whole United thing.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He helped you win the treble and won a Ballon d'Or. He is one of your legends.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

He absolutely isn't and the fact you think he is shows that you don't really know too much. Even when he was great for us, he was never mentioned in the same breath as Fowler. And that had nothing to do with ability, and all to do with people in and around the city getting the feeling that he had started to prioritise the national side ahead of us.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Think it's terrible the way you are talking about one of your legends like this.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I think it's terrible that you boo'd Sol, one of your legends like you did.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I didn't?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

You didn't? Then you're an awful supporter. Not booing the biggest judas in club football history.

What a legend though.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So you're contradicting what you just said? Ok then.

Shearer was one of my favourites when I was younger, but I wouldn't put him above Henry. Henry still has the record for most assists in a season. He was that sort of player as well as being a top class finisher.

Maybe "fair distance" was the wrong phrase. I mean Henry's noticably seperated from that pack of strikers behind him, in my eyes.

That's true but then so did Henry, and Shearer played 3 seasons where there were 22 teams in the league.

this question is all about your age and your ability to take off your club tinted sunglasses.

shearer
Henry
Aguero

that must be the top 3.

You'd have to put rooney , cole and fowler into the top 10 then.

If others wanted to join the party they needed to do more than bite people and have one great year

The defoes, sheringhams, ferdinands of this world did a lot of goal scoring too but over a long time and wihtout perhaps the same success off it.

the thing i always find interesting is the media darling harry kane never really gets a mention despite being on 120 odd prem goals and being only 25.

perhaps its his dullard looks, terrible voice, inability to win anything and total self serving attitude that holds him back?

You wouldn't have to put Fowler in a top 10. You could put all these ahead of him:

Kane
Rooney
Aguero
Henry
Shearer
Van Persie
Wright
Cole
Van Nistelrooy
Suarez
Bergkamp

You do realise that we also had football pre-1992. Why restrict it to only this period ?

Football began in 1992.

C. Ronaldo was a striker by the end of his United career. If this isn't based on the long term at all and just highest peak for a season he should be considered

4 standouts for me are:

Shearer - ludicrous number of goals and reinvented himself after serious injury and kept scoring. All in a team that wasn't always that competitive.

Henry - a fantastic all-around game, scored and assisted (not all strikers are strong here) and did everything with effortless grace.

Suarez - was probably at Henry levels for about 18 months but has spent the majority of his prime years outside of the EPL. Amazing for a short period though.

And Aguero - his goals per min ratio is insane.

Personally for me its:

Henry
Shearer
Aguero

Suarez wasn't doing it for long enough in the EPL.

Judge Aguero either when he leaves the PL or gets to the age Shearer was when he retired.

Shearer easily. Henry is the only player to come close.

Aguero is playing for the Globetrotters, of course he will score.
