Has anybody actually watched Bayern this season?
I think Bayern will really go after us, hoping they can take advantage of VVD not playing. Could be a high scoring game....
I know keita is getting better each game but I feel Hendo is still the stronger player this season. Unpopular opinion but I think Keita's defensive game needs some work still.
My midfield 3 would be -
Hendo Fabhino Wijnaldum
Our attack revels in chaos.
no way is fabinho getting dropped for this.

If he is not in Midfield he should be in defence
We still Utd to navigate through all this.

Agree
Two certain midfield picks are Fabinho and Wij. The rest are fighting for the last spot.

On current form they are playing better than Dortmund at the moment.
I think Keita will play in the second leg, this first leg need to just be solid and not let them score a goal.
Yep which is why it will be Hendo and Fabinho and then allowing Wij to roam.
Petition to drop some laxatives in Wij's food or drinks 2 days before every game.
Wij never roams.. he just makes useful runs into forward positions.
Other than that is solid and looks after the ball. Good player.
Roam as in be the one that supports the forwards. I remember when Ox came off injured against Roma and Wij came on and changed the game with his forward runs. Nothing worse than 3 sitting midfielders.
Probably Wij's best game for us that day.
We need to get behind them as fans...
...and plug the gaps.
The way Keita played last weekend was to limit his forward passes and he played a lot of sideways passes.
I think this is the best way for him until he gets more confident.
The tactics also changed with Gini playing more forward and he made more forward runs. Salah playing on the wing and making inside runs between the leftback and centreback helped us with creating chances.
I watched Keita get sent off against Bayern last season.
I am not happy with Matip and Lovren as our centre backs but I would prefer Fab in midfield.
Watched Bayern against Leverkusen and they were very dangerous with Coman.
Defensively they were slow with Hummels and Sule.
Doesn't matter who we pick.
Bayern are a proper Champions League club and will do us over. Lots of players in that team who are used to winning things.

Feeling confident then?
We can beat any team on our day. I can see the first game being tough without VVD but I think if we can sneak a win at home I think our pace will be too much for them at their place

They are there to be hit on the counter but Salah needs to up his game and start doing it against the big teams.
Stopping the quality of their 'mature' wingers is key as VVD should handle Lewandowski who is very much a fading star.
One thing we need to prepare for is Bayern gamesmanship. They will be hounding the ref and winning at all costs. We lost our head when PSG did this to us earlier and can’t afford to play the nice guy.
