When we heard he was coming on loan from Torino, during the Cellino tenure, doubt any of us saw this.
He's an absolute beast. Brilliant player.

Pontus is the secret lovechild of Billy Bremner and Norah Batty.

Cooper was just as good as Jansson defensively for me, and think 6.5 is bit low for Alioski who got 2 assists and was good going forward all night.

That 20 minute spell really should have given us a third goal, what we've seen all season. Great to watch but just need a bit more ruthlessness to get a 3 or 4 nil win.

Klich was better than Phillips today

Wouldn't say we were bang average first half. We were 2-0 up what more do you want? Swansea are not a bad side

I think Norwich and SU both play this weekend so we might not be adding to our lead against Bolton but that would be nice.

QPR will be our game in hand so win that and Bolton and we will be back on top.

Easy games for those 2 as well, Reading and Bolton.

Bit annoying that we most likely will slip to third. QPR won't really feel like a game in hand, it's a disadvantage that we play Tuesday then Friday.

Get 2 wins from the next t

Sorry LIW but there’s no way Klich was better than Phillips from what I saw. Phillips and Pontus were outstanding

That said, everyone played well last night

Klich won ball after ball. His pressing is what got us going, watch the game back, because it could have gone unnoticed all his good work

He played well don’t get me wrong, I just think Phillips is something else in that role, not bad to say I’d have had him training with the reserves last season

Reading beat playoff hunting Blackburn yesterday, and I doubt Birmingham were expecting to lose against Bolton.

No easy games in this division. Both those teams need wins as much as Sheffield United and Norwich.

Lubo’s right, you can’t safely predict any result in this league. Slip ups will happen, and the lower end teams are fighting for their lives.

Re Klich, it was interesting to me that Bielsa seems to have decided its Phillips/forshaw and klich. Maybe when all are fit he’ll experiment with forshaw as an alternative to klich.... but i think in general klich’s work rate, movement and simple distribution are a little under-rated by a lot of fans... he’s technically good. Lacks a bit of X factor, when he’s not banging them in from 30 yards, but has been a major contributor to our success this season.

Re Jansson, i only saw the second half yesterday and he was excellent... especially when we were getting nervy late on.

His overall standard is high... but he isn’t excellent every game, and in my view seems to get a free pass when he has had poor games or made big mistakes... forest, stoke, Norwich off the top of my head this calendar year.

Phil Hay gave KP a 9 and Matty Klich a 7, Kal to me was MOTM had a very solid game. Inclined to agree with Hay on this one.

Long balls, broke down in the final third, over hit crosses, Swansea knocked the ball around better at times. We had 3 shots on target and scored twice. We stepped it up second half imo. Moved the ball better and quicker and were far more dangerous, but didn't score!

Phillips was a level above Klich btw

Difference last night was that Klich and Phillips work excellently together.

Klich was better offensively and his pressing was immense.

Phillips is excellent defensively and also more influential in our build up play. His range of passing is superior to Forshaw and far more intelligent.

Don’t see Forshaw displacing either of these.

Forshaw wont get a look unless we pick up an injury. Ideal to bring on though.
