I dont think she should be let back in but where would she go otherwise? She's a british citizen. It's not as simple as saying that she shouldnt be allowed back in.

Members of the commonwealth were British citizens until they weren't.

I'm sure we can make special exceptions for terrorists.

It's making my blood boil tbh so I'm just going to leave this thread.

Absolutely not.

You wanted to go and live there and renounced your citizenship.

Sorry for the children of course, in fact if you want the child looked after gladly do so. Yourself, and what way you'd bring the child up, no.

Surely if it's all about the baby then we can offer to take the kid back and give it to her family. She can stay off in the middle of nowhere.

Suspect it's just being used as an excuse to get back into the country because it's become apparent that the IS Jihad is becoming less and less successful. Disgusting stuff if that's the case.

Don't feel okay allowing a baby to die because of the mistakes of its mother though.

This seems a reasonable approach.

I believe if you look at it in a strictly legal way, if she has committed crimes on foreign territory, it's normal for that country's justice system to deal with it. If she came back, the UK would also prosecute her for breaking UK laws - but there's no legal requirement for that process to take place before Syria or Iraq dealt with her.

Bring her back, give the baby to a couple who can’t have children and put her in prison for as long as she deserves. Pretty straightforward

So she can cost the taxpayer £50k odd a year and spread her hate through the prison system? No thanks. Send her to Australia

Didn’t she break the law on UK land by setting off to Syria in the first place?

A media frenzy with guaranteed indignation throughout the land. Whilst personally not giving a flying f^ck about this twisted delusional groupie who being 'unfazed' at the sight of decapitated remains says pretty well everything we need to know about her. While feeling for the innocent child this story does - like many others recently - have the distinct odour of convenient distraction by the 'management'

She should not be allowed back, no debate really.

On another note, what a backwards thinking country Australia.

What do you mean?

I have not read into what they are trying to do, just reading what you wrote. How do you push to strip nationals of their citizenship? Every country has good and bad people, imagine everyone adopted that approach. Ridiculous.

Good luck. Australia has been pushing to strip all nationals of citizenship if they have any involvement whatsoever with IS. That way the govt can legally absolve themselves of any legal responsibility to deal with people like this woman.

Dual nationals?

If it was up to me I’d push her into a vat of acid.

This

Not that it would happen but it would be lovely to know her exact location in Syria and to send a nice big missile that way.

Too emotional a topic

My initial response was tough shyytt but having heard some people on tv, including an ex officer who worked with the family things are not so clear cut.

From the off these girls were groomed, no doubt about that. Prevent knew but didn't even inform the families. Had these been girls in Rotherham it would have been dealt with differently, and rightly. We forget these girls were naive 15 year olds

In this country you have women marrying murderers in prison, that's just the world we live in.

Also I think it was the chechyan prez who said something about the terrorist guy in France. Basically that guy had moved to France at the age of 3 months then committed the attack at the age of 20+. How is that influence from chechnya?

Similarly these girls were born and raised in England. Something is wrong here that needs looking at and someone the people on tele are passing the buck imho

Genuine question, just asked because I heard a discussion on sky news

How would you feel if this was a victim of the grooming gangs? So a 15 year old, who after a few years went to the police. But during the whole time she was under the influence of those evil barstewards though she was in love etc and was happy to have had kids etc?

I don't know the answer tbh, but even this girl's "not being fazed" shows a certain mental thing

Apparently they did it to some who were just Oz nationals too, but I'm not 100% sure.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Thought countries weren't allowed to do it if a person had only one nationality. Illegal under international law if I remember correctly. Good on Australia if they have done just that though. F*ck 'em.

Speaking of stripping terrorists of citizenship...

https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/uk-news/2017/mar/09/terror-suspects-british-citizenship-european-ruling
----------------------------------------------------------------------

The problem with this is that some of these people sent to other countries don't get punished as such

Also think that there are potential issues. For example British people of Pakistani origin, born here and even second third generation, we're applying for NADRA cards when visiting Pakistan. Basically a 10 year card for about £10 allowed travel without a visa. A visa was around 30 quid for say 3 months. What people were not aware, whilst trying to save a few quid, was that theresa may argued this meant that was dual nationality. So a third generation Pakistani who went over once in their lives for a couple of weeks now could be deported
