He's definitely stepped up in the last month or so. I'm really pleased for him as he's been very professional it can't be easy playing second fiddle to Kane and thus getting next to zero game time.

No denying that he's been very poor up until recently, but long may this current form continue.

Done OK, In the press today saying he'd like a 1 year extension ? Don't see why not as long as he doesn't get in the way of young players (Parrot) coming through.

When Kane is out its really about Sonny so hopefully that takes some pressure of him

I read that he's got better stats than Kane or Sonny based on minutes played?!? He's getting a goal or assist every 63 minutes?!?

Yes I would not be against him getting a one year extension, he seems more than happy to play second fiddle to Kane, and as far as I know he just knuckles down and gets on with the job.

A quality midfielder to replace Dembele is more important to me than getting another striker in when we have players like Son, who also fills in adequately as striker when required.

Getting a run in the team makes all the difference, as well as the goals his hold up play and some of his touches and flicks are so much more assured than previously. Age isn't that relevant with him as he has no pace so I wouldn't have a problem with him staying for one more year.

He's missed some absolute sitters, but the way he stumbles or hesitates or miskicks when in front of goal is clearly a confidence issue rather than a technical one. It's no wonder he's improved with a bit more game time.

Yeah, he does seem to be growing in confidence

This has come at a good time for us. He can provide a genuine option of the bench not only as a back up to Kane.

Will be interesting to see if Janssen can ever find some kind of form. I think Sonny, L'lorente, Janssen and a couple of good young strikers in the youth set up probably rules out a new forward in the summer.

I'm starting to wonder given the form of Sissoko, Winks, Sanchez & foyth means we might not even buy a CM or a new CB even if/ when Toby leaves ? I guess the only question mark is Eriksen.

If Poch delivers 2nd or 3rd in the league & maybe another round or 2 of CL footy then Levy will probably justified in not pushing the boat out for new signings if it appears he doesn't need to.

I just don't see Levy buying a new CM, CB & Forward having shelled out 110mln on Sanchez (42), Sissoko (30), Moura (25) & Foyth (11) who we are yet to see the best off ?

Hard to know what we'll do. If reports are true that sonny is about to get a new deal (150K) for his recent form & Dele just signed something similar I'd love to know what we offered Eriksen and how far apart we are on numbers

Anyway..... after a week like this, a stadium that almost looks finished and Arsenal losing to a pub side... who cares

I’d be fairly surprised if Janssen ever kicks a ball for us again.

Llorente is a better footballer than Kane, is better looking, can count to more than 10 fingers and understands long sentences.

Should have a lot more game time for Spurs than he does. A case of Pockets trying to prove he is smarter than anyone else by playing the brazilian Walcott up front instead.

yeah me too but the loan options don't seem to have worked, we still pay him and I'm sure Levy aint keen on making his loss on him any bigger. Just wonder if he could get a second life like Sissoko.. Even if it was just off the bench/ cup games/ give Kane a rest ???

I wouldn’t mind it. Just don’t think it’ll happen. I expect he’ll be gone in the summer one way or another, and barring an absolute injury disaster I don’t see him getting any game time this season.

Priority positions for new signings are right back and centre mid anyway. I wouldn't expect a new left back or centre forward, this summer at least, unless Llorente and Janssen both leave. Right back is unlikely too if only one of Aurier and Trippier leaves.

I'd say it's more likely Spurs will pick up a single centre mid in the summer. Any further signings will probably be entirely dependent on current players leaving first.

Including him in the team forces Poch to change his tactics, which is a good thing as he can be too rigid at time. With him in the squad we can adapt to our opposition - that's if Poch ever learns to rest Kane for more than one half.

Kane is an incredible striker but he's moved away from being that classic no9, Llorente provides a different focal point that benefits the three in behind him.

Llorente is out of contract this summer but has said he wants to sign a new contract, I wouldn’t oppose to having him for an extra season, he’s done alright when needed.
