Roofe out

Roofe was moved from strikers position and into the number 10 position. So up top isnt the issue as we also have added cover from Roberts who is fresher and has himself pace and trickery behind Paddy.

Its the position where he was moved where the issue is, that number 10 role is stil vacant and when you have a number 10 put in there to round peg in square hole its a bad sign.

Brown is the name that comes to mind for most, but is he the same force tat fired Hudds up into the league?

The problem in the 10 role is because we have lost the signing of James and then Clarke has fallen ill.

It's not just his goals that we are going to miss. His holding play and running off the ball have opened up space for other players, and given defences a headache all season long.
Bamford is a different kind of player, but we are now relying on him to find his shooting boots. Overall, we will be less of a threat up front at a time when we are heading into our toughest run of games, including West Brom and the Blades. If Marcelo pulls this off, he deserves a knighthood.

People sometimes draw too much attention to strikers (in this case Bamford) missing chances.

Don't get me wrong, there is obviously a limit, but in the main the key thing is getting in the positions in the first place.

If he can stay fit, I have no concerns the goals will come for Bamford.

Roofe is more in-between a striker and forward. He comes deeper and therefore I cannot think of too many "sitter" situations he has had.
