Why is young rated lower than most?

I’d give Lindelof a 7.5, just because Smalling was very good but I wouldn’t bump him up from 8
Lukaku probably lucky to get 5
Matic was very good on the whole but should have been sent off so a fair score

Lindelof was absolutely class. Turning into a top centre back, never thought I'd say that after last season. Lukaku was absolutely useless, every time he got the back I was just counting the seconds until he lost it.

Agree with all but would Prob push Shaw up to an 8.

He played alright first half. Putting himself about and winning the ball. 2nd half back to the usual, everything bouncing off him and losing the ball. Thought Sanchez should have come on 10 mins earlier than he did. All in all a very very good away performance

Matic a 7 for me. Very good first half and did his job well in the second.

Fack me, that guy cannot control or hold the ball. Played 70 minutes , and when your team are under the cosh in the 2nd half, he doesnt take any pressure away from them.

Herrera is the glue in this squad now, without him I reckon a different result. Smalling made an excellent return, partnered well with Lindelof, and Shaw was solid defensively. Matic would have earned a higher rating had he not had to play cautiously the last 30+ minutes. All the ratings make sense to me. Ole gets a 9 as well for good tactics.

Wasnt spectular, defensively thought he was just ok today. We need a new right back in all honestly. But he does appear to be a leader in this team!

Goes about his business quietly. It is a sign of his performances that almost all chances for the opposition come down our RH side. Made a goal saving tackle and got hurt in the process. 7.5 is fair.

Given a very difficult job I thought he was very good. Comfortably a 7

------------------

When I think how he played last night, it makes the performance from the rest of the lads even better. It was genuinely like playing with 10 men and we still bossed them. What a performance.

To me Lakaku looked like he has put some weight back on having appeared to have lost some a few weeks back. I think he is done at United now and you can see that the other players in the team are frustrated with how he plays. A few times last night I saw Pogba either chuntering to himself about Lukaku or shouting at him and telling him to move for the ball.

I have never seen a striker so unwilling to make an effort to get on a pass that isn't quite perfect. Rashford scrapped for absolutely everything last night and put pressure on the opposition every time they had the ball. He chased down lost causes and helped to win the ball back by rushing opponents. Lukaku on the other hand barely made a jog in his attempt to close down the opposition and you can physically see him give up when a pass comes into him that isn't right to his feet. One telling moment for me was when Rashford broke down the left and Lukaku was in the box waiting for a cross. Now Rashford's ball wasn't a good one and the Chelsea defender cut it out with Lukaku behind him. However, I thought that Lukaku could have got across the defender and looked to shield the ball and let it run across him. At the very least, he could have made it difficult for the defender to clear the ball. Instead he just stopped running. An absolute disgrace. What is the point in having all that muscle mass if you are an absolute wimp? Might as well try and slim right down and get some pace back you big fat lumbering piece of sh!t.

Other than that, I thought he had a good game....
