Done more than Jose has in 2 1/2 years.
Jose best was in his first season where we dominated opponents. After that he reverted to type. The job OGS has was really hard mainly due to the negative atmosphere at the club.
Who? Ince has?
Yeah... you're probably right.

It was hard for Jose to switch to attacking football as the club/fans demanded. Do you remember all those draws at home.
The 16-17 season we had a lot of one sided draws. The 17-18 season we played worse but got better league results.
Ince is a snide c**t. Never liked him

7 consecutive away wins. Crazy when you think of it especially with 5 clean sheets and 2 goals conceded.
17 goals scored 2 conceded in 7 away games under OGS. We finally got a manager that can win away.
Incredible turnaround, really. When he got the job most were just hoping for some entertaining football because it was felt our season was pretty much over. Still got things to play for now and the mood around the whole club has just changed enormously.

As much as I felt Jose needed to go and feel we made the right move at an earlier stage than I thought we would have, this is a ridiculous comment and is part of the problem with modern fans.
He hasn't, that's a fact. Jose also wasn't a compete and utter waste. We won some trophies, came second to a very good Manchester City, scored some nice goals and I really enjoyed Ibra's time with us.
Why does everything have to be so negative and in particular, hindsight used as such a weapon?
All these sorts of comments do are perpetuate the myth that we have so many motd watching, clueless fans.
The only caution I'd like to add is we're still not controlling games. That will require work over the summer.
Avg. possession of 38% across Arsenal, Spurs, PSG and Chelsea games. We don't create enough chances nor is our defence resolute enough to carry us through.

I was thinking if that was the case lol.
In response to the OP - really proud of the team, stuck by Pogba and I'm looking forward to the future. Let's be fair, the job Ole has done has surpassed almost all expectation. As difficult as the PSG game was, it just gives us something more to strive toward. We are still building confidence and will get there.
That period where Mbappe, Alves and Di Maria (I think it was those 3)were knocking it about between them and in the end, pulling of skills to play keep ball, was just that step up from where we are at the minute.
The goals gave them confidence and that's what happens with football but I'm sure we'll regroup this summer and if we can end the season with an FA Cup final and top 4, that far surpasses my expectations as of 2 months ago, where the season was a write off.
Excited for the stories of the coming 12 months and looking forward with optimism.
Benched possession doesn't mean much. It was 3 tactical master classes. We just had one poor half defensively at Spurs and that was it.

Agreed but at the same time, there's a difference between conceding possession and being unable to take it. The spurs and Psg games are stark contrasts in that sense IMO. PSG got a foothold and dominated whereas with Spurs, we played to that sort of game. PSG were a better team, I never felt spurs were.
We need some reinforcements for sure but it isn't the huge overhaul many demanded a short whole ago.
Can't argue with any of that, Fox.
Spurs 2nd half created about 3x as much dangerous opportunities as PSG did in the 2nd half against us. They kept shooting straight at the keeper though. I don't think PSG created much by there play as well.
Wins away at Spurs, Arsenal n Chelsea.

yup
though it isn't just "modern fans", some of the more senior fans are just as daft.
jose did what he does and did it with some pretty characterless and clueless players. just the type of players in fact that will look worse because they don't know (or care) what to do when it is not easy for them, or there is not somebody else to take responsibility for them (and united are currently infested with them).
results matter of course, as do performances, but united have hit teams in that recent run just at the time when that team hit their own particular mini slump (PSG excepted of course - and we know how that went).
united are not on this run because they are playing effective, percentage, football (as they did under SAF), because players that are this ineffective by default are not suddenly going to become effective just because of a recent management change. It just doesn't work like that.
United won today because they used their three most effective players - Pogba, Mata and Lukaku - and were assisted slightly by the bizarre inclusion of sideshow bob by cfc (which always means the opposition has a good chance).
said before the game Lingard being absent was a boon to the club - if the twonk come back, especially at the expense of any of the three genuinely effective players, then the team will be weaker and suffer as they did against Liverpool and PSG.
management is made simple by using the resources you have effectively. not by trying to make round things look like they should be square things
Ince is right anyone can come in. You see next season when your favourite Ole will get exposed .
Ince wouldn't even have been able to put the smile back on the lads faces let alone getting them to play anything worthwhile... He should just shut it...

And one he was totally outdone on against PSG, where Tuchel got the better of him. Spurs should have beaten us too, we were very lucky in that game.
Apart from that he’s been almost flawless. Give him the job.
Genuine question.
