1-4 against Scunthope was less painful than that.

White flag waving tonight.

Do us a favour, players, shut the feck up in the media.

Frank, you do the same.

Close shop and say nothing till you show it.

Totally agree. Trouble is, with a "celebrity" manager they get lots of mike time...........

Games in hand = points in the bag?

Not managing an on-target shot for the whole game, that's not just poor is it?

Now where is that mint sauce I'm looking forward roast mutton next week.

Does Fat Frank live up to the hype?

Really? Really?

Well...you'll all be pleased to know Lampard & Sons stuffed up my accumulator.

Millwall and Forest's style is pretty similar since MON / RK. Should make it interesting!

Beat us and your still in the hunt. Lose and it's nine points from eight league games. Not really play-off form...

However, after Forest and Villa away, you have four home games in a row. Still plenty of time to get it all back on track 👍🏽

Goosegogs with lamb, how vary dare you?

Save them for the pie with a few strawberries and lashings of custard

How did we lose twice to that pile of crap? We should have had at least one penalty. We could be saving it all for next Monday when we play a similar club.

I thought Waghorn could have been replaced by one of the blokes in wheel chairs. I only saw him pass to a player in a white shirt once. To think he has twice won Man of the match. He would struggle to be man of the match for Bryant and Mays girls team.

I've tried to hit every bar in between Pride Park and Normanton Road with a little detour for Revolucion de Cuba and a bit of a counselling for a drunk man who wanted to fight me but still I'm left with the unnerving feeling that really wasn't very good.

It was a very frustrating performance tonight. We were too slow in midfield and there wasn't enough movement from them or the forwards.

I think generally we look ok at the back and the reason is because most of the time its the same players each week and Keogh and Tomori have struck up a partnership. I think partly because they have been forced to. A few months ago one would have been out for Davies cos there were too many mistakes. but because of his injury there was no choice but to play them both. Now given time its the been the most consistent area.

The midfield and forward line has changed far too much recently due to injuries and the cup and players are playing in different positions each week. There is no way you can expect players to build an understanding with one another or learn how to play off each other. Wilson on the left one week, then in the middle, Holmes the same and even played right back the other week. We need some level of constancy and the only way to get it is to play your strongest team and in their correct positions. shouldn't try to shoehorn Waghorn and Marriott into the same team if it means neither of them can perform. one or the other then wingers/AM either side. 14 games to go and so plenty of points to play for still. Frank did say he looked at elements of each manager he played under and never modelled himself on one. Ditch the tinkerman one altogether

Positives though:

Our left back looked very promising I think he could be quite a good player.

4-4-2 did cancel Millwall (albeit at our creative expense) out until our our minor lapse of concentration.

We competed better for the second ball tonight. (even though we didn't know what to do with it after we got it).

In the last 8 mins we played a ball into the penalty area along the grass completely fooling Millwall, it made them panic, it was a thing of beauty, if we do it more than once in a game I think it might prove to be quite rewarding,

I think tonight was a perfect example of the need for a 'connector' ahead of Huddz. What use is beautiful play if it cannot be continued?

Worrying signs were:

a number of players were hiding from the ball today or pointing at other players to get the ball instead of them. Lack of confidence or fitness or the "Dave Mackay's" as Cat would say.

Lots of shouting at each other instead of taking responsibility.

Our lack of ideas or patterns of play with the 4-2-3-1 (Ipswich) and the 4-4-2 and 3-5-2 and 3-4-3 (Millwall) suggests we haven't really trained to play effectively this way. Granted I did think it cancelled Millwall out but wonder had we gone 4-3-3 if we'd have taken it to them a bit better and maybe got some reward.

Fair point though the 4-3-3 was very well quashed by Chris Hughton.

Our fans were particularly negative especially around me. I see the argument in moaning about passing sideways or backwards if there's options ahead of you but when no players ahead of you are showing for the ball I think it makes sense.

Touching on what Pablo said

I think our most balanced team for the red dog crumbs would be:

.......................Roos.......................
..Bogle.....Keogh...Tomori....Cole
.................Huddz.........................
...........King.........Bryson..............
...Wilson......Marriott.......Zooom...

Mount as a sub maybe. Marriott only because I think he can run fastest onto the ball played in behind which if we have King ahead of Huddz we might be able to construct. Wilson needs to work on his right peg a bit more if he wants to play in the centre for me and it would be nice to have a wide player that can threaten. Wide right is an open door but I think Zoom is knocking the best maybe Holmes, or Bennett if we want to start with the rough n tumble n then bring the Dawkins-esque flair later on.

Management just got real for Super Frankie. Dunna worry though fella we've got your back. Dunna let the skuntz get you down.

Even Roos had a shocker, the goal ball went right through him.

Very disappointing result, even more disappointing performance!

The signs have been there for a few weeks. We are missing Mount in the middle, I expect him to start against the dogs if fit.

Time to earn your stripes now Frankie, confidence is low and individual and team performances are poor. Might as well get your boots on with the non existence of our midfield of late.

Where did this idea come from that we had no shots on target by the way. I know I saw a header saved in the last minutes at least.

Where did the idea come from we had no midfield. We dominated midfield last night, the problem was getting the ball behind the Millwall defenders. Holmes once took the full back on round the outside with some joy. Hudz was slightly over hitting his through balls. Waghorn was totally useless, cue for Vidal to make apologies for his awful play.

Turned my phone off on way home last night. I had recorded the England inns so wanted to watch it without knowing the score. It saved the night from being a total right off. What a depressing performance that was from Derby. Unbelievably flat and so many shocking performances.

Mornin' y'all

Surely it cannot be that flat on Monday?

Worrying to watch - I called 0-1 after 3 mins, the signs were there from the start. It was a team of strangers - as previous posters have said only Tomori and Keogh operated as a 'unit'.

There is a theme - Ipswich, Rotherham, Millwall........EVERY time and we fall for it ffs

Don't we learn?
