If they bring in foreign refs to cure the perception of bias that would be wrong but if the current pool of homegrow officials just aren't good enough, which everyone seems to agree they arent, then why not? Isn't part of the problem parochialism, if your face fits you get onto the tier1 rota.

Football clubs do it with players/coaches so why can't the high heid yins do it for refs? I honestly don't see an issue here.

There needs to be a revamp of the disciplinary process, of that there’s no doubt but Foreign refs just screams of conspiracy theoried p15h.

We all know the refs aren’t up to standard so help them by making them full time and try to improve their understanding of the game.

What an incredibly flawed and ridiculous idea.

Not only for the reasons given above but what referees are we going to get ffs? All the respective country’s Grade 1 referees will have games in their own backyard ffs so what will we get; their Grade 2 referees?

Mental idea.

Then there’s the cost. If we have that kind of money to spend then making referees full time and bringing in VAR would be money better spent surely. Any referees who don’t want to go full tile because they have better paid jobs elsewhere can do exactly that - work elsewhere. There’s far too much money at stake nowadays with European qualifications, prize money and sponsorship to be placing this in the hands of amateurs. The game has changed and so should the professionalism.

And what an utter embarrassment for any club associated with this. Utterly ridiculous and laughing stock doesn’t even come near it.

The BBC has not broadcast from within Ibrox for more than three years, since the club said one its journalists was no longer welcome. The BBC have hit back at Rangers who have claimed the BBC show bias against the club.
