Its down to Poch to stand up to Kane & his personal ambitions and do whats best for the team. Cant really hurt having him on the bench

posted on 20/2/19

Hopefully Poch will give him a run out against Burnley for 10 15 mins and assessing him properly.

Kane has not rushed himself, Poch wouldn't risk him if it was that serious an injury.

He only returned to full training Monday so may not Raven make the bench for Burnley, were just going on assumption that he will.

How do you know he did it last time because he wanted to win the Golden Boot? In fact, what makes you think he came back early last time?

Nope

posted on 20/2/19

He'll probably come back and score, I don't care when he's back as long as we keep picking up wins and advance in the CL.

posted on 20/2/19

He's back in full training so the only issue now is his match fitness.

Sooner he's back on the pitch, the better

He definitely came back early last time. He was rubbish for weeks and off the pace.

He wasn’t rubbish that’s hyperbole but he wasn’t match sharp that’s for sure.

He was still scoring, which is his main job.

Edbo - I can't argue for a second that a fit kane doesn't improve us. I wouldn't swap him for any other player.

Just find it annoying that Poch's logic seems to go out the window when it comes to him, in that we play him even when he is half fit. And although I'll never know for sure, it seems to me that he is so motivated to win individual awards like the GB, he plays more than his body wants him too.

At the moment Son is in the form of his life and we are winning games - so there is no urgency to rush him back. if he waits one more week and comes back fitter than surely that's a better situation?

I can't remember exact results but I'm pretty sure we were winning and doing well when he was out last season, then he came back earlier than expected, didn't look fit and the team looked clunky.

But goes without saying that the club know a hell of a lot better than me!

its a bit like how he starts the season slowly. but for the standards he sets in terms of all round performances, he was poor in comparison

I get your points but I think you're making assumptions. It's normal for a player not to be quite as sharp when they return from injury, but playing competitive Football is what gets that sharpness back. It doesn't necessarily mean they're not ready to play again.

posted on 20/2/19

If Kane feels he’s ready and fit then he plays it’s as simple as that. I couldn’t careless if we are winning without him, we are better as a team with him in the 1st 11 than we are without him. He might not even start against Burnley anyway, but if the club and Kane feel he’s ready to start then he starts no doubt about it.

every time kane gets injured these idiot pundits say the same thing... .spurs will struggle without kane, take kane out the team and they wont win games.... facking idiots never learn... every time kane is injured we still win most of our games.

the only proper game we lost was Chelsea second leg... the palace game we played a second string so I doubt he would have played anyway....

won 3 prem games and a CL game In that time.

as a whole, the media and pundits don't have a facking clue. I don't understand how people who have played professional, and made a living off writing and talking about football, can be so clueless on so many issues... its laughable.

I suppose its why good rational pundits like JJ, Danny Murphy, possibly Graeme Souness, Neville and one or two others stand out so much... because there is so much dross. look at soccer Saturday. how the fack does paul merson have a platform to talk about football... he cant even string a sentence together ffs..... him and that idiot Charlie Nicholas don't have an objective bone in their body.

Agreed, Chronic. The thing that annoys me most about pundits, and many Football fans, are lazy assumptions.

Annoys me when the say they don’t know where the goals will come from when Kane doesnt play

Guaranteed Son, Dele, Eriksen and Lucas will all hit double fans figures

A couple of seasons ago he came back after a month out and was more in form than ever and he even said his time out helped him to get sharper. This was when he came back and scored the 3 and 4 goals against Hull and Leicester.

So no, I don't think we should necessarily be concerned.

Souness is actually one of the many pundits that always say we’ll struggle without Kane.

Just been looking at the training pics and looks like everyone bar Dele is training which is great news.

Fantastic. About time we got a bit of fortune on the injury front. A full strength side to choose from with Ali not to far is brilliant news for the run in.

Dele and Kane were the only 2 from the strongest side out anyway. And only 1 of them is back.
