If he played for any other team, he'd be found out. He just so happens to play for the best possession-based manager in the history of the game.
But credit where credit is due, his composure and passing ability is incredible for a GK

You could say the same about De Gea if he was put in a posession based team. Oh wait, we have seen it for spain already.Hence why Spanish managers were hesitant to give him the gloves for a long time as cassilas declined.
The skillset gap in goal keepers is never that great, most goalies largely benefit from the team set up.
Why is this on the United board?
He is the best out there with his feet. Long and short passes he has it all. Don't think he's the greatest shot stopper though.

That’s not true. As a goalkeeper, De Gea is a million miles away from most in the league. He casually saves shots that you see fly past other keepers on MOTD.

Like the ones at his near post?
Ederson is brilliant and in the perfect setup to showcase his skills. I don't know why people want him to move teams in a setup that doesn't suit him. Are you moving jobs into something that doesn't favour you? Morons really.
Remember the outfield players' positioning play a big role in his distribution as well. This is what lets Alisson down at times with Liverpool.
All 3 amazing keepers and can be world class or in De Gea's case, he's already proved his worth.

I can only imagine the OP thinks the United board won’t be able to cope with a post suggesting another goal keeper has superior aspects to his game than Dave
This post is about a city player by an arsenal fan. Should be on the Arsenal and City board.
I'm guessing this was done intentionally to bait United fans.
Great keeper, followed him at Benfica. Perfect fit for a Pep team.
This will start a trend towards ball playing keepers, much like the rush for attacking full backs and ball playing CBs... It will lead to some occasionally hilarious purchases.

not a bait article. Unuted board is the busiest hence I have posted it here.
Have you seen the arsenal board lately, its like Chelsea or City's

You would expect Allisson's passing to improve in his second season. His distribution is brilliant, its his speed of thought when it comes to short passes where he lacks a bit, not helped by the positioning of his team mates.

I agree with the hilarious purchases. Its a specialised skill "passing it from the back" but must be accompanied by good defensive instincts.
For example Stones is a good passer of the ball, best I have seen among defenders in the premiership but his concentration in defending lets him down.
Van Dijk has the whole set, great passer but most importantly a great defender. The balance is important.

Dumb post. As well as being good with his feet, he is an excellent shot stopper, has great distribution, and is very good coming off his line. How would he be 'found out'? If you mean he wouldn't be able to play out from the back in another team, then maybe. To do that you need centre halves who are good on the ball and not all centre halves are.
He's hesitant when nobody makes themselves available or all the 'easy' options are marked by the press.
Thankfully not all teams play like the top6 or Bayern.
Our defenders tend to take the easy route out as well by passing to him when some composure can open up a passing lane for them to pass forward. It's why we were so ruthless when VVD & Gomez were playing together. Mentally they're levels above our other defenders. That composure helps the entire team, Alisson included.
I only check out the United a d the general football board. Can't say I notice much about the other boards.
The guy has a bit of Barthez about him.
He's class, madness imo that Alisson is ahead of him for Brazil.
Clear daylight between them the other way round imo.
P.S Sterling has now become a leader of sorts. He still has his wasteful moments and makes bad decisions in games but his endless running and ability to drive this City team in attack is something you cant buy
----------------------------------------------
But they did buy him.............
