We were never winning it anyway

We have lost 7 games in the league this season with still likely more to come. I don't care what anyone says, that is not good enough.

Well said mate.

On the 'bottle' front, we showed so much bottle to even get in this position with all our late winners or getting through the champions league group with 2 points from 3.

Simply, we have a lack of quality. We need some investment to seriously challenge. I am not talking crazy money, £100m net this summer should really be available.

Last season Liverpool and Spurs were pretty much on the same level. But then we signed several players and you can see the difference.

A side like spurs can't afford not to buy players in 2 consecutive windows when the teams around them spend big.

Bit disappointed, think we needed yas to keep the pressure on us but more so City, if we cant win it id rather spurs have a chance to and would prefer them over City. 3 way race to the wire would be nice n exciting.

The "bottle" tag is attached to us because of the timing of when we lose. I believe its a fair comment and one we have to shake.

Yes, and Mike Dean has been in charge of 3 of them.

Contrast that with Pool, who have had Michael Oliver 5 times so far and won all of them. Oliver is in charge of United V Pool tomorrow, I know where my money will be going.

Don, Spurs defence needs a major overhaul. Toby, Verts and Rose are nothing like they were three or four years back, add in Walker and Dembele going, and this team is coming to its end now. The defence used to be the strongest past of the team, it is now absolutely the weakest.

I don't believe anyone gets favorable decisions with certain refs. You got one against you (the corner) and one for you (rose pinching 10 yards for the throw).

Sandy, our defence used to have the shield of Dembele, Wanyama and Dier, we used to boss almost every midfield, hence our defenders came under a lot less pressure, these days even Burnley are finding time and space in the centre of the park against us.

Bottom line is, we did not play well but were also unlucky, Burnley`s goals were from a gifted corner and from a scuffed shot that turned into a perfect pass. Burnley could also have had a man sent off.

Maybe if we had a central midfield and more creative full backs, we would have score 3 or 4 and won the game.

Do wonder if there’s a psychological issue with spurs when the pressure is on. A very good team, who most days can beat anyone in the premier league, usually coast through most games, up until the pressure point later in the season.

Is that coming from poch? It’s quite odd, and limits a team who perhaps should have won it in the last few years.

Big transfer window coming up this summer, we need to revamp the squad.

yeh a bit of bad lucky Billy, but we have to face it, a lot of players are coming towards the end of their careers, need to replace both Verts and Toby over the next season. Either with what we already have or have to splash the cash.

Anybody else notice the Sky commentators sheer delight when he stated our title dreams were now over?

Anybody would think he was desperate for Pool to win it or something.
